Youngsters will surely enjoy this picture book that encourages them to count as, starting with five, and ending with none, one by one, the dinosaurs disappear, leaving behind only some skeletal remains that end up in a museum. There will be much stomping and roaring as little ones enjoy this book and sing along. There are lyrics and music included on the back and cutaways on several pages, adding to the book's visual appeal and interest for young readers who won't be able to resist poking their fingers in the holes and peeking to see what's on the next page.

This is such a great book!
As a nursery practitioner, I really enjoy reading this book
It can be read as a book or sung as a song, depending how you feel, but I’d definitely sing it!
Younger children/ babies will enjoy the song and the tune of it.
Toddlers may join in with singing.
And Pre school are able to tell us which numbers come next.
This book really helps with counting to 5!
10/10 would recommend!

A high-energy version of the lively dinosaur countdown fingerplay rhyme. There are several versions of this rhyme and this illustrated version adds plenty of details that will appeal to young readers although the ending doesn't rhyme. The bright colors and cut-outs make this an entertaining book to share with plenty of opportunities to count. Sure to be a hit for toddlers who love dinosaurs!

Wow, this book got suddenly dark! I might skip a page as to not induce an unneeded fear of comets since I'm still going to use it in storytime for Dinovember.
