If I understand correctly, this book is based on an exhibition of photographs and maps of the Art Nouveau architecture of Riga, and since I am interested in the style period and traveling there soon, I was pleased to find a copy of this book at the library. Some of the photos and texts don't match up on several pages (like there is a photo caption for photo nr 23, but there is no photo 23 either on that page or the previous one...hmm?) Nevertheless it was interesting to read about how there ended up being so many buildings in Riga in this style, and how it evolved into sub-styles. I am very much looking forward to seeing the buildings for myself.
