One would think that after all of the heartbreaks that Jashae took in part one, that things get easier. That’s not the case though, because things continue to take a downward spiral in Jashae’s life. On the brighter hand, she just might be ready to be down with the King of the South. There is no denying the chemistry between Jashae and Miami. The two are pretty much meant to be together. I think we all can agree that Miami’s plan to move back home was long overdue so that he could make claims on his woman. The thing is, for so long, everyone in Miami knew Jashae as Trip’s girl, so there aren’t many people who wanted to see the two of them together. They literally have to fight everyone against them if they want this thing to work.
On the opposing side, we have Mahogany and Jabari. Two people who aren’t necessarily opposed to love, but they’re just scared to fall in love. They are indeed a perfect match, but they come with a lot of baggage. Jabari has never in his life been a one-woman man, so all of this is new to him. There just might be that one thing that happens, that leaves the two of them with no choice but to stick it out and make this thing work after all.

Loved this read awesome
Mannnnnnnn can this book get any better. I swear Diamond is a BEAST with the pen, I LOVED every minute of this book. It seems like Jashae just can't get a break and Trip is so trifling for what he's doing and how he's going about things I'm just ready for him to get dealt with. I just know Dino gone get his. Miami is BAE hands down. I surely can't wait for part 3

This book read at a neutral pace with a few speed hills that picked up the pace then mellowed out pretty quickly... It was another book that pulled out a lot of different emotions out of me...
I was so over Trip... I mean he thought he was big and bad and running things... But as time went on we can see that he had NOTHING under control like he thought... He thought that Jashae was just gonna give up her whole life for him while he kept doing her dirty... Then all his secrets started coming out... Did he really think that once she found all of this out that she would stay with him and hold him down still... Well he learned the hard way who was really in his corner... The sad part is the one that he did wrong was the only true person that he had... Because everyone is showing him what they really feel about him... Now he has no one... Good because I really could not stand him...
I felt so bad for Jashae... Every time she had a light at the end of her dark tunnel and was climb6out if this deep hole that she was in.. Something or someone came along and pulled her right back down the deep hole... Miami was doing everything in his power to help her... But she kept giving him a hard time and taking all her hurt and pain out on him... And he let her because he knew that she needed it... But he could only do it for so long... Then when Miami put his guard down for a quick minute... Here come Trip with his BS... And the drama begans again...
Then we have Taylor... I knew there was something that I did not like about her from the beginning... And now I know why... But look at her... Karma really came at her hard...
Jabari and Mahogany are a trip to read about... There was so much back and forth with them... Just to find out that they really are made for eachother...
So now that Jashae knows the truth about Trip and has decided to walk all the way away... And the news she just got about her son... Then to leave work and walk into this... What is she going to do... How will this effect her relationship with Miami... Will this be the breaking point... Will Trip have her trapped in his web of BS once again just when she got away... Now onto part 3 to see...

Push through Shae this is just a test! I really hope Miami let her keep that baby. She don't need to be in no system. Shae and Miami should just make her theirs. If he don't let her keep that girl then I'm most definitely go look at him in a different light. I'm go drop all respect for him. It's bad enough he taking too long to get Trip touched, and he calls himself the king of the south 🤦♀ Forget the respect you trying to have for him. Where was the respect when he had Shae touched 🤔 That's go bring the biggest smile on my face if he end up dead. I truly hate him and it's just a book 😂If Shae ever run into that child's ratchet mother or Trip's mother, she should beat the hell out of them and never let anyone see this baby ever again. Matter of fact, I would set Trip up to get caught with that phone so they can put him back in that little isolation room he hate so much. I would get his ass in as much trouble I can think of. Truthfully speaking, I hope he just drop dead someday some how. I done bout had enough of his scandalous ass 😈 Lol seems like this book just gets better and better. I'm enjoying myself here for real!

I was lucky enough to read part 1 and to back to back but now I have to wait for part 3😩. I love Miami! He is such an alpha male and he really just wants to be Everything for Choc. I’m waiting and hoping to see her start to win. To know that she has experienced so much loss and to witness her losing Vonte took me out in part 1. Watching her grapple with the how deep he was played by Taylor and how deep she was played by Giovanni made me hurt for her more. I can’t wait to see how actually having Maya before her plays out. Will the fact that she’s Vonte’s sister even matter? Jabari and Mahogany are hilarious. I can’t wait to see them as parents. Their daughter is going to give him hell!

Part 2
Omg the things going on in this second part is just crazy. I can't believe Mahogany is pregnant by crazy Jabari but honestly I knew something was going to make them come together and stop all that "I don't do relationships stuff." I am glad they getting it together. Now Shae and Miami are just to cute. They are both are head strong but vulnerable with each other. They ain't trying to out do each other. This whole crazy thing going on with Trip is only about to get worse once Miami finds out. I can't believe the things going on but I guess nothing surprises me anymore with him. Can't wait for part 3!!!

Lord, not sure where to begin... Just a myriad of things happening in this book. Jashae is so strong, a Mental melt down should have occurred.. Glad it has not, but damn can she get a break?? Trip needs and entire beating and to be confined in solitary, with his trifling mama... Miami is so patient, supportive & loving of Shae, his daughter is so cute, and loving of Shae. Mahogany & Jabari & a baby coming, lets just hope that they continue to grow together..Weddings coming soon (hint hint)... Excellent Job.....

Their relationship is already going through enough without any extra drama. Miami only wants the best for Shae so they can have a great future. Jashae and Miami went thru a roller coaster ride trying to be together. Jashae lost her son she was still grieving and trying to get on with her life begin with her baby father for 10 years after in was incarcerate for life. Mahogany is pregnant by Jabari both are scared to be parents. Trip also has had another baby mother of daughter he doesn't know by Krystal who left her daughter with Trip mother. Can't wait too read book 3. Some many obstacles when will she be happy with Miami and find Trip baby mama.

This was a good book. It's crazy how someone can harm another just because they don't wanna be a lone or jealous of ones success. As they day karma is a itch. Trip acts so hard and did whatever he wanted not caring about who may get hurt in the end. Now look he needs his the love of his life to take care of a child nobody even knew existed. I hope this work out and out of the kindness in her heart she does take the child in and not let her have to be shuffled from home to home.

Just like the last book, Trip is really aggravating my Soul. Jashae needs to move on and find someone else to care for his child. She’s dealt with so much of Trip’s madness and he really feels that she owe him something. I don’t wanna assume that she’s going to take this child on as her on. Goodness that’s selfish of him. Ole bastard. Anyway I’m still loving me some Miami. Mohagany and Jabare are so funny.

It was sad what happen to taylor but in glad the truth finally came out about what she did. Im so glad jashae is actually giving miani a chance and they so cute together. This book is a page turner... I want to say Taylor got what she deserved but I felt bad about the unborn baby... Shae finally found out the truth about her son’s death... Trip is a trip because how you going to ask your mama to ask Shae to keep his daughter after all the things he did to her... Shae has a good heart I hope all goes well with that situation... Kind of boring… With Taylor out the way nothing was holding me in on reading along. The situation with the girl is messed up but you can only bring those fools back around once she finds out who has her.
