Sir Michael Parkinson, CBE (born 28 March 1935) was an English broadcaster, journalist and author. He presented his chat show, Parkinson, from 1971 to 1982 and from 1998 to 2007. He has been described by The Guardian as "the great British talkshow host".
Parkinson's Lore contains a collection of humorous anecdotes about growing up in Yorkshire, England by presenter/ writer Michael Parkinson. The tales tell of his love and joy for the sports of cricket and footie and tell of the people he met, watched, enjoyed, and even played with in his childhood. It's nicely light-hearted and heartfelt. Most enjoyable collection of stories. (3 stars)
