Kimberly Palmucci is the author of the Purr-fectly children's books and The Wormwood Mysteries. She lives in Connecticut with her husband, Dominick, their son, Cayden, and their four cats, Meesta, Princess, Mayra, and Rosie.

Since adopting Meesta in 2011, Kimberly has been inspired to share a positive narrative about shelter pets and special pets. Meesta is missing his back left leg; he is a three-legged cat, active, playful, and able in every way. His resilience, strength, and indomitable spirit inspired her mission to help animals and celebrate our differences. Regardless of where your story begins, who you are, or what makes you special and unique, everyone deserves a happy ending!

If you enjoyed the first two books in the series, you're going to love this one. Purr-fectly Home is such a sweet story, and it is inspired by real life animals, which makes it even more meaningful. The pairing of Palmucci and McCann is sheer perfection. McCann's illustrations capture every adorable moment. Her colorful illustrations will capture the eyes of all readers. Though a total stand alone story, readers will love to follow these shelter animals along from book to book.

Any pet lover will want to read Purr-fectly Home. It is also a wonderful way to help kids celebrate differences and learn how to thrive in new situations. I'm eager to see what Palmucci has planned for the future.

This book made me cry. Having recently lost my three legged friend, who was so accepting of my other cats, the story really was effective and hit home.
