From the years of slavery through the years of civil rights, images of black people have taken many forms. Some of these images were positive and some negative and stereotypical. Eye opener. Sad but true. We were exploited in a horrific manner and we made $0.00 off all of the hard work and negative imagery. However, the book is a great conversation piece and wonderful coffee table book.

Learning the history behind black collectibles that I've seen around my family's home and others around me really made me rethink their purpose and meaning. Definitely worth reading if you love history and the origins of caricatures.
