Full New Facts Regarding the Life of Shakespeare in a Letter to Thomas Amyot, Esq., F.R.S., Treasurer of the Society of Antiquaries from J. Payne Collier, F.S.A. The original is rare, the author states in his "Advertisement" (Preface) that "only a small number of copies has been printed". The author states that when he wrote a previous History of English Dramatic Poetry and the Stage, that "all that is known with any degree of certainty concerning Shakespeare is--that he was born at Stratford-upon-Avon--married and had children there--went to London where he commenced actor and wrote poems and plays--returned to Stratford, made his will, died, and was buried." The new facts which he presents are "derived from the Manuscripts of Lord Ellsmere, Keeper of the Great Seal of Queen Elizabeth, and Lord Chancellor to James I." 55pp
