As an avid reader of this author’s books, I was quite intrigued when he brought this particular book out, more from a sense of curiosity than anything else. Nevertheless, the author not only gives an indepth insight into his own personal experiences, but shares some quite intriguing information. I, myself, have been very happily married for almost 40-years, but knowledge is always worthwhile especially when it comes from a difference perspective. This isn’t meant to be a textbook, but a user-friendly guide for love; it talks about love from a neuro-chemical perspective, emphasizing how important Dopamine, Oxytocin and Cortisol are, as well as Endorphins Testosterone and Estrogen; particularly how they work on the brain’s receptors and in turn contribute to the way we feel and respond to others. While I must admit to being flummoxed at the beginning with all the technical spiel, I did persevere to the end and I am glad I did; I found the book to be quite enlightening by the time I finished reading it. It also gave me a good grasp of what the author was trying to portray. The inclusion of various charts was an added bonus in helping to calculate what essentially may contribute to a successful relationship. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Love is all about the science. The dopamine and oxytocin.

This book is a really out of the ordinary examples of how these two chemicals react and help us in determining how love really forms and how love really can be maintained by the scale of numbers that is simply mesmerizing in terms of execution and creativity.
