It's a story that needs to be shared. I only found out about this event from the movie Mississippi Burning. I ended up in Philadelphia, Mississippi (the location of the events) completely by happenstance. And there is some information at the Lyndon Johnson Presidential Library, which I came across (again) by happenstance. But I don't remember learning about this stuff in school. Emmett Till only got mentioned in college and in passing. So, I would definitely like to see more books out there about these events. Unfortunately, I do not think that this was one of the better books. A bit basic... Struggled to hold my attention.
