This is the first time I am reading a book in the paranormal/supernatural genre, and I must say this one gave me goosebumps, literally. The Clockmaker is a fast-paced, thrilling read that takes the reader through the journey of Ashish, a clock maker, who tries to defy fate. Can fate and destiny be won? What if a man had the capacity to turn around time? Will he redo things differently? In the end, does he win the game or does destiny wins over everything else?
Although, that's the crux of the book, the way this book has been written is simply stunning. Kudos to Paromita for handling a very unique concept with ease and clarity. Nowhere does a reader feel bored while reading this book. On the contrary, if you're not used to reading paranormal, do not attempt to read it at night, alone :-). Overall, a very captivating read, this book flows beautifully with the background and characters well etched and well written.
The Clockmaker is one of it's kind, and definitely deserves a five-star rating!
I have read a Paranormal book after ages. Wow, it actually made me sit up and wait to see what happened next. The Clockmaker by Paromita Goswami is Book 1 of The Jungle series. If Book 1 was so interesting as well as spine tingling, I am more than eager to read the next books in the series. It was actually interesting to read this story. Albeit with a spine tingling suspense around like a heavy fog throughout the story.
The entire story shows how Destiny and Time is already planned out for each of us. We are mere puppets. Also Karma comes back every time. No excuses. This story has many facets and I loved how Author Paromita has delved into each of them.
There are stories and incidents within one another. I loved how each layer unraveled. After a point, you stop trying to guess what will happen next coz its totally different. This one only made me look forward to read it when I got a few minutes of free time.
The characters were perfect in each time space and portrayed real human emotions. Few characters and a tight script. The language was simple and clean. The flow of story consistent.
Some parts were super gory and scary. I liked how the grandfathers and fathers revealed the secret and tried to help Ashish through the nightmares.
I am now thankful for having a good, normal life and ease of getting sleep every night. My heart just went out to all those people who suffer from insomnia and releated mental ailments.
This book is absolutely thrilling and you cannot think off to put the book down. Is every page a nail biting page? No, I was stalked by the same dark hooded man to finish the novel.
The prelude was amazing and I was taken aback by the Gothic narration and the experience stayed long in my mind even after few chapters of the story. On point prelude it was.
There are only few characters in this story and all of them were innocently unique in their way. I really liked the way author involved the existence of the characters in this novel even though there was no much of character development. It’s not the character’s character but the entire characters exhibit was under the light of the dark hooded man.
The book might be long or the narration might be long and almost felt dragged after the second timeline jump. But I continued with the story because the main character became mute spectator( you got to read the novel buddy) and the story traveled perfectly normal with the other characters. I was impressed by that twist. There was no amiss to miss the horror factor throughout the novel.
The reason why I liked this book is I actually love horror book which has slow narration while going through the incidents and occurrences. So this book was apt for me to finish in a go. But readers who likes to have fast paced horror then it may be not for you but I would say don’t give up this book at the initial stage ,you have more to the story down the lane with a perfect ending
The Clockmaker is a story in the supernatural genre .Interestingly narrated.
Ashish is a clockmaker. He has been following his family tradition of mending & repairing clocks with passion & zeal. This keeps him satisfied though he is unhappy as his wife Lata is financially demanding. Ashish is unable to cater to the huge demands of Lata .This leads to lot of bitterness. Even his son Vicky drifts away from the father.
One day, Ashish, chances upon an antique time piece in his shop. He works on it, as he discovers it has magical powers. And then, he uses it to avert a crisis. Is he able to divert the crisis ? And can Ashish use it again & again to solve his problems ? He starts having nightmares .Though his life & family are too good now, his nightmares continue.
His state of health goes for a dive & doctors are unable to explain it.And then Ashish is paralysed & unable to speak. Ashish dotes on his son Vicky who takes over his work .And yet, Ashish is afraid of what may happen. Does any tragedy befall his family ? Is Vicky going to be fine or something sinister is lurking in the near future ? Can Ashish sense it & overcome it ?
What about Lata ? How does she deal with Ashish's paralysis ? The office girl Friday, Kavya seems to have disappeared suddenly. Has she gone somewhere else or some misfortune befallen her ? Who is responsible, for all these strange turn of events ?
The story goes backwards & forward into the future smoothly. The reader is hooked into finding out what happens & is there a way out of the mess ?
The mystery builds up step by step .And that makes it a thrilling read !
This book is very entertaining and awesome read, when i started reading this I don't have any high expectations but this fully worth it. Starting is so good that it keep your curiosity that what will happen and how. Story is starting from 1948 and turn to current period when Ashish who is renowned clockmaker and this business transferring from generations to him. He lived with his wife Lata and his son Vicky. Lata is ambitious lady and her father is also a rich man so he is not happy with his life and always took help from his parents. Other than Ashish had a problem he saw nightmare every night and some person wearing black hoodie always said give my clock back otherwise you have to bear the consequences. This clock or timepiece gifted by Ashish father when he took his last breath. And his son Vicky loves Kaavya, their love story also has some complications. Story is very intresting through out other than some places when repetition of scenes looses your pace. Very interesting plot weaved so well together and the timepiece is the center part of story. Characters are well described and defined. Language is simple and lucid. Book cover is intresting and catchy too.
My initial thoughts Though it has some supernatural themes, for me The Clockmaker was essentially a family drama. I was thoroughly intrigued by the premise and the prologue was bang on. I enjoyed reading the familial issues and the differences in the attitude of each character towards those issues.
My problem was with the execution of the plot and the lack of uniformity in the pacing. For a horror novel, it felt kinda dragging and not suspenseful.
Things that worked for me I liked the family drama part more than the horror element. The intriguing premise and the prologue deserves a mention. The simple narrative style might work for most of the readers.
Things that didn’t work for me The pace was not uniform and it disturbed the flow of the plot. If you picked the book for want of supernatural stuff, you might be left wanting.
Bottom-line If you wanna read a Bollywood style family drama, with a bit of supernatural elements, The Clockmaker might be a good fit for you.
Thriller , suspense , horror !! Yes this story contains a lot of twist. Starting of the story is well interested but loses its grip in the middle. . the repeatedly lines are bit confusing it seems like story is revolving around one object. Well cover is pretty suspicious and characters are well defined. Some part of the story is very interesting and reader may be lost while reading. The good point is that author successfully described the scene according to situation for instance, about dark shadow and death of the girl etc I'll definitely pick up the next book in the series but hopefully it shouldn't be prolong as it.
A book that feels more family drama than supernatural thriller. There was definitely something interesting in the plot, and after a wonderful prelude, I was expecting something true to the genre. While the twist in the middle and the story that followed was well written, I don't think it was a wow book in my book. Most of the novel was tedious to read and only the curiousity to find out the characters' destiny kept the pages turning. Unfortunately, not a book that I enjoyed a lot.
I loved reading this book. It started off slow and really came alive after the initial pages. It kept me hooked and I completed it in a day. Its a nice quick read.
We have had always been hearing time and tide waits for no man. And tempering with destiny is not only possible but if done, the consequences are equally disastrous.
The Clockmaker is a supernatural suspense story with paranormal touches. After reading the blurb I had thought it to be a simple supernatural story but the twist and turns and the lucidity in which Paromita has created the suspense and kept me hooked is really commendable.
The Clockmaker is a totally different genre from the author's previous works and I must say she had done a great job. From her 1st book to The Clockmaker, the author has really come a long way.
The Clockmaker is a story about Ashish whose family has been in this clock repairing business since generations. The timepiece which is the main protagonist of the story, how it comes into their family, what are its supernatural powers, to know all about it one must definitely read this book and get spooked.
The Clockmaker is definitely a must read no matter which genre one loves to read as it can be read and enjoyed by all.
' The clockmaker' is a story of a genre I stay away from but having read the author's previous stories and being familiar with her style of writing is what prompted me to pick it up.
The story is a paranormal suspense thriller. The story is of Ashish and his tryst with an ancient timepiece. The timepiece is a legacy handed down through generations in this family of clockmakers. What are the secrets involved with this watch? These secrets get revealed when you read the story.
An intriguing plot, the twists the turns kept me hooked till the end. Personally the ending came as a surprise to me and would have wished it would have ended in some other way but this fact doesn't take away from the experience of the story.
If you love paranormal stories spiced with horror bits then you are sure to enjoy the story.
The Clockmaker by Paromita Goswami is unlike any book I have read to date. I started reading this book pretty much blindly, meaning without reading what it was really about, and I do that a lot. I figure it is in the paranormal genre, odds are I will like it. sadly this time around my luck has failed me just a tad.
I had a difficult time getting into this book and actually staying with it. The first quarter of the book was very slow and was kind of drifting along in the story aimlessly it felt like. The pace of the book was on the slow side and I always felt a little that the story was dragging out just a bit, which of course made it tough to pick it up again.
The plot had promise but in my eyes wasn't very well executed and quite honestly has been done before, and I can't explain how I mean that without giving away spoilers. And now I still won't give away spoilers. Just because this book was not for me does not mean it isn't for you and therefore I won't ever give away spoilers. There were definitely some flaws in the plot. Another issue with the plot was, that there were at times rather sudden changes in the scenes, almost like the author couldn't wait to get to it and then finish it quickly, just odd.
There were quite a few conversations that just didn't feel right and I was like that is just not how people speak with each other, even with slang and various accents, it's just too odd. And of course how some people reacted to things that happened in the book just didn't seem "natural" quite a bit.
Another smaller problem, there were some editorial issues like grammar errors, misused or missing words and the like, but maybe that is because I had an ARC copy? So that one I won't count and it was only just a couple of them really. What was a little bit more of an issue to me was the way it was written, in this simplistic style I want to call it since I don't have a better way to name it.
And the characters, I honestly couldn't connect to any of them. For one even though most of the book was the characters since that was pretty much the plot, them and the time piece, there really wasn't much character development and I didn't really get to know much of any of them and really don't particularly feel like cheering for any. If any Kavya is probably the nicest and the one who is the one who deserves a lot more in this book, the others don't impress me much at all.
So after having read the book I thought let's read the little description that tells the reader about the book to pick it up and read it, yeah when I read that I felt no connection to the book, it was really weird. Basically what it describes what happens around midway I think but I don't know, it just gives me a different vibe than I have now after I read the book.
I really wanted to like this book but sadly this one just wasn't for me. I didn't connect with the characters nor the story and to me there just wasn't enough happening, it is just more slice of life kind of book in my eyes which just isn't me. But with that being said, this does not mean this book can't be the right read for others. If you like Indian culture you can learn some about it in this book.
The Clockmaker was definitely a unique story line and completely different from what i had expected it to be. I have read the author’s work before and compared to those, the clockmaker was a unique theme and approach. I have seen the amount of strength and work she weaves around the emotional stabilities and vulnerabilities of her characters and previous books that i have read of the author was a prime example of that. Her books attempted to tell the stories from an emotional angle rather than just narration of events in the book. This book do follow the same pattern about taking a story on its character’s emotional strength but much more than that, this time the book completely took me by surprise by the theme of the book. It was definitely not what i had expected
I loved how the author opened the book with a very captivating scene as it definitely set a tone for the book. It worked two ways. One to promise what the book had to offer and the other to grab the readers. To be honest, if the book had not started the way it did, i might have had a different opinion and not a pleasant one at that. There is a reason for that because after that surprising opening chapter the book kind of takes a sudden dip. Perhaps it was so that the events can slowly catch fire and leading to the inferno it is.
One of the major factor about the book that is unique as well a bit challenging is the fact that the story is narrated in episodical form. It almost feels like scene by scene rendition of the story. This is an interesting technique but demands the readers to be patient to get used to this technique of Scene.cut. Scene. It did bother me at first as to how one scene wasn’t transitioning to another scene seamlessly but gradually i started seeing the fun of author’s narration technique. Perhaps the reason that the events escalates after a certain point adds to the fun and easing the readers to the book
In conclusion i would say that the author has managed to narrate a pretty unique story and one that has a massive lesson behind it. My piece of advise is to wait till the second half when the book completely changes its nature and things just takes you to a new high in the story and by the end it completely turns out to be an engaging stream of events after events. The narration technique is a challenge but once you get used to it will be a fun way to read and engage.
What if you could go back in time and change certain things? What if you could move forward and see what the future holds for you? Tempting isn’t it? Wouldn’t you jump for it? Well that’s exactly what ‘The Clockmaker’ is all about. Starting with an interesting and riveting prelude, the book takes us on a journey through time and space only to tell us that one’s destiny is pre-determined. Tempted to tamper with it? Go ahead…..But get ready for a shock. Just like Time and tide wait for no man, destiny too does not bow down before the mortal.
Interesting and intriguing, ‘The Clockmaker’ is a fine example of Author Paromita Goswami’s growth as an author. She has come a long way from ‘Shamsuddin’s Grave’ which she authored way back in 2015, in terms of creativity, style and language. :) The book, which is a part of The Jungle Series that the author is bringing out, is a mix of the paranormal and psychological.
With power comes great responsibility. However if that responsibility is pitched against your family, which would you choose? Given what human nature is, the general tendency would be to secure the self and loved ones first. Ashish the clockmaker, from an illustrious family of clockmakers chances upon an antique timepiece passed down as a family heirloom, a timepiece long forgotten and buried by in a side table. The chance find which holds immense powers, turns out to be the turning point in his life. An insight into the future tempts Ashish the father to tamper with the timepiece, and thereby time. The cascading effect of this action of his impacts many lives. A man out to control time and destiny finally falls victim to his own actions both physically and mentally. Will Ashish be able to undo his actions, will he see light at the end of the tunnel, or is all this just a mere figment of his imagination?.....Only time and a reading of this book, will reveal.
Replete with various emotions like greed, possessiveness, jealousy, horror and subtle romance, the book brings out the best and the worst in each character, with its evocative language. While the prelude sets up a riveting background to the story, the first quarter of the actual story pales in comparison to the same. Thereafter the pace picks up and the actual story starts to bind the reader. From there on there is no looking back.
VERDICT
A wonderful read that’s sure to hook you till the end.

REVIEW:
In this book, the author has chosen an enticing plot which could have been against her or for her, but here the plot did well with the story and proved it to be a success. I liked the story, as a reader, we do not judge the story on the basis of narration( we do not) entirely, it includes several other factors as well like pace, language, formation, segments, how are the emotions expressed and many more. which was taken care.
The Clockmaker started off well, the thrill got into nerves but somewhere it picked the story of typical bollywood style. But, eventually, it keep the interest on and was fascinating to understand the whole concept. Author maintained the pace of the book.
The climax could have been made a little better, with all the paranormal situations and the genre opted required justice, in the end, it wasn’t what I expected. No matter what, it was interesting to read and can be read once if readers like this genre and theme to go for.
RATINGS:

Several personal and ego issues that his wife Lata faces and is a victim of also adds up to the family miseries.
Amidst all this, Ashish gradually loses his mental balance and starts imagining the things. He often sees a man in disguise giving him sleepless nights. Book starts in 1948 when a clockmaker is returning from Alwar after repairing royal clock. Due to some circumstances, he forgets his way to home and gets lost in jungle. There he met a black hooded man who asks him to mend his timepiece. This timepiece has the ability to control the time. The clockmaker greedily take away that timepiece with him. This timepiece keeps on passing to his next generations. Later, story sets in 2017 where Aashish belonging to clockmaker's family is handling the family business of clockmaking. He has a wife, Lata, who is ambitious and she wants Aashish to join her father's eatery business. They have a son, Vicky, who is pursuing MBA and is in love with Kavya, a girl at his institute. Aashish always looks at the portraits of his father and grand father and think how they have such a calm look on their faces. He notices a timepiece in every picture and then he searches for it. He finds the timepiece and get to know about it's power. What's the secret of timepiece? Will it be helpful for Aashish? Will it change his destiny? Read this book to know this. In the beginning, I wasn't expecting much from this book. But, as the story moves forward it kept me intrigued. Language is simple. Some incidents got a little cliche like love story of Kavya and Vicky, but it was described beautifully. In the middle, I found it to be little lengthy. Otherwise it's a good one-time read.
The genre supernaturalism has always fascinated me. Be it Twilight or Vampire diaries, I have tried to go through each series. The Clockmake is another book under this genre. It is the first book of the Jungle Series and is starting from 1948 where Ashish is a famous clockmaker and the business he owns has been passed down from generations. Ashish lives with his wife, Lata and son, Vicky. However, Asish had a problem. Every night he used to have a nightmare where a man in a black hood would come and demand him to return his clock back. The clock he was talking about was a family heirloom given too Ashish by his father during his last moments. So what exactly is the story behind the clock? Is the nightmare real? Who is the man in the black hood, then? Read to find out all the answers to these questions!
The Clockmaker is a very interesting read filled with suspense and thrill. It was written in an easy, lucid and fast-paced manner but the author had repeated few things which weren't required to be repeated. Even though the author has written the book in a very detailed manner, once you get through these details, a terrific climax awaits you. The one thing missing in the book was character development. The author could have focused more on that.
However, overall it was a good and fascinating read. Eagerly waiting for the second part of the series. I would recommend this to people who love a bit of thriller and suspense.
The clockmaker is a paranormal mystery thriller. This is the first book of such a genre that I've come across and I'm mind blown!
Firstly the cover is extremely attractive and it portrays the plot pretty well at the very first glance. The blurb was so exciting that I couldn't wait just jump right onto reading the book. The narration style is subtle and elegant, great choice of words together making it a worthy read.
The story is about Ashish a clockmaker, whose family has been into this business for generations. It begins from the past where one of Ashish's ancestors is found on his way back from repairing a royal clock. On his way back he encounters with a man in the jungle who asks him to repair his timepiece. On having a look at it, the clockmaker realises that the timepiece possesses supernatural powers and so he steals it, which gets passed on to his generations. When Ashish inherits it from his higher gen, the talisman makes him realize of it's power. At the very same time, Ashish goes through some tragedy in life which is when he decides to use the powers of that timepiece to change his destiny!
Will he be able to change it? Will it be for good? What would be it after effects, the paranormal part of it, is all so exciting to read! I found the book just apt according to the genre fairly justifying it.
This book is the first in Paromita's jungle series and I can't wait to read the next one! If you're a thriller fan, do give it a read.
Ashish is a clock maker and one odd day he has a dream which leads him to an interesting find. He finds a clock which is a sort of heirloom, passed on by his bauji. However, what's the actual cost of this heirloom and is it actually worth the price. Ashish is a happy man, but will he be content letting go of the chance to have control over his destiny.
This book is clearly one among my best reads in 2019. Why? *Gripping take of love and supernatural. * Full of suspense almost till the end. *Do I want a part 2- hell yeah. *Easy read and long but engaging storyline.
This book delivers all it promises definitely. Though I would have loved to see some more character building efforts from the author. But the suspense got me to the end of the book and I still wanted more. The writing style is very detailed and the story gets somewhat stretched in the middle, however if you get through it a really good climax awaits you. Then again, a very unique concept and does it teach a thing or two - definitely. I loved it and recommend it to a slightly seasoned reader of suspense books because well you know the drill to continue till the end. However, it is a good book and if you are considering it then just simply read it without any doubt.
The Clockmaker: (Jungle Series Book Book 1) by Paromita Goswami
This Book starts in 1948 when a clockmaker is on his way home after repairing a royal clock and forgets his way to home only to get lost in jungle. There he met a black hooded man who asks him to mend his timepiece. This timepiece, the clockmaker reaslises has the ability to control the time. He steals this unique timepiece and keeps on passing it to his next generations. The plot then revolves around that clockmaker's descendent Ashish Gupta. Ashish, just like his ancestors has been making clocks for a living and excepts his son Vicky to follow his footsteps. One day by sheer luck Ashish stumbles upon his ancestor's timepiece and discovers its power. While he is still figuring the timepiece out a sudden tragedy strikes and forces him to use the timepiece..will the timepiece help Ashish and his family or will it make things worse?
The plot is interesting and keeps you guessing. The writing is simple and easy to understand. The characters development is good but none of them stood out for me.The middle part of the book felt like an Indian daily soap but thankfully the end was better. Overall a book good enough to get you interested in reading its next part. Recommended for lovers of thriller/ paranormal genre.
Book is complete entertainer, right from the start till the end. The cover of the book is very apt for the story as it revolves around the time piece, Tall man wearing black hood (who owns the time piece) and who resides in forest with fire in darkness. Story is relatable and interesting. Prelude "The Timepiece" sets the tone for the book, it gives a magnificent introduction of how timepiece reaches Ashish's forefathers and instills enough curiosity/thrill in readers mind and stays till the end. Plot is very much as in description of book but you get to read both scenarios of Ashish's life when power of time piece used and when the power of time piece is not used. Even the best of best clockmaker with power to change time cannot change his life or destiny, in both scenarios destiny /fate has the upper hand. Author's narration is amazing and is successful in keeping readers hooked to the book till the end. End / climax would be disappointing, a big let down, unconvincing if the clockmaker's story ends with this book as readers are left with lot of unanswered questions. Would definitely read the next book in the jungle series.
The title of the book and cover are good enough that both matches each other. The blurb of the book quite nice idea about entire plot but still the suspense keeps the reader engaged in book. . As the book title is The Clockmaker, same is the story of clockmaker. The book is based on supernatural suspense and thrill story. A guy named Ashish is a clockmaker which is by choice I guess, because this profession is continued from generation to generation. He lived with his son named Vicky and wife named Lata whose father is a rich man. Ashish during his sleep had many nightmares which were very similar to previous ones, and in his nightmare one man wearing black hoodie asks Ashish to give him his clock back to him or else he says the upcoming future consequences will be not good for Ashish. What are the consequences? Does nightmare turn in real? What solution will Ashish find regarding this or what will he do? . The narration style and grammar is good. Somehow in middle the story loses it's grip or pace. But thrilling concept keeps reading going further for book. Entirely I loved the book. Waiting for Jungle series part 2 book.
There is a deluge of books in fantasy genre. This takes us away from humdrum life and gives the author freedom to use her imagination to utmost. The only boundation is the limit of her imagination otherwise anything is possible. Time travel is not a new idea but still it has its appeal because the endless possibilities.
These is an old clockmaker who worked for Rajas and Nawabs. A mysterious hooded man gives him a magical watch. Ashish is his descendant who is also doing the same work of clockmaker. But now the times has changed and there is not enough money in that trade anymore. His wife Lata is from a rich family and is unsatisfied due to his modest income. There son Vicky has a girlfriend Kavya. Then one fine day Ashish stumbles upon this magical clock.
The premise is good though the idea a old. In time travel books interesting thing is how the authoress treat the events after jump. The book loses the track once the travel happens. As the book progresses the events become more and more confusing. The overall impact was underwhelming. 3/5 stars.
The Clockmaker is a story of a clockmaker, Ashish Gupta who comes across his family's most precious inheritance, a timepiece but it's not just a beautiful piece of work, there's more to it.
The writing style was good, fast paced but there were some places that had great opportunities to make the writing from good to great which were missed by the author. Also, some of the things were repeated unnecessarily.
The plot progress, I must confess, I thought would be like some typical hindi serial for sometime. Usually, this would discourage me from reading any further but in this case, I held onto my patience and it paid off. The plot didn't turn out to be predictable and was rather pleasantly satisfying.
The cover isn't very aesthetic but the it's definitely apt. The title also is an apt one.
The book gives a lesson that destiny is not something to be messed with.
The Clockmaker, Book 1 of the Jungle Series, is a supernatural thriller cum family drama. While I love family dramas, I am not particularly fond of supernatural thrillers, but I decided to give this book a try. Unhappy with his life of financial stress and family issues, Ashish is haunted by a recurring nightmare of a dark hooded person demanding his clock back. When Ashish realizes it was a clock that has been handed down generations in his family, he also discovers its supernatural powers, i.e., the ability to control time. Being human, Ashish takes a peek at his future and when a tragedy strikes, he attempts to alter destiny. But will it lead to unintended consequences? The premise is interesting and the prologue pulls the reader into the story. The introduction of characters in the present day takes you on a journey through time, with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. The middle is a little slow, a few parts seem rushed, but the end makes up for it. Look out for Book 2 of the series.
Ashish Gupta is a clockmaker and the story revolves around his family's most important inheritance. The story is quite unpredictable. The writing is good but quite simple. It is a good one time read. Nothing more one could expect from it. The story is good but not so good to keep one engaged till the end of such long novel. The cover is relatable to the story but it looks too simple and not appealing at all. The characterization is fine. The good thing is, most of the times, the narration is fast-paced and it helps to move the story forward in good speed. It must've been edited well. Many pages must've been edited out of it to make it more interesting and engrossing. Otherwise, it's one time read. One can enjoy reading it in free time.
My rating Narration, title, cover, writing style:- 3/5 imagination :- 5/5 Overall :- 4/5 The clockmaster the jungle series book1 written by paromita goswami. The cover is simple although upto some extinct mathcing with story but still it could have been better. The clockmaker, story about Ashish and his family. writing style is simple, not so engaging, editing is good, however story moves faster which keeps a bit engegd into the story like everything moving too fast and which increases the one's interested in story. Story goes smoothly with some turns at upside down. P.s- the most beautiful about the book is storyline, such imagination would lead your mind to rethink about the story and situations how the writer had been portrayed the story. Overall a good one time go
The Clockmaker: Supernaturalsuspense paranormal Indian Drama by Paromita Goswami is the first book in the Jungle Series. The title and blurb give us an idea of what the story is about — Supernaturalsuspense paranormal Indian Drama.
The story revoles around Ashish, a passionate clockmaker who is frustrated with his life — financial insecurity, his ongoing nightmares and his family, wife Lata and son Vicky, are driving him crazy. Read to find out more about him.
The writing style is simple and easy to read. The story is an Indian Drama just like the title suggests. The story gets a little draggy and boring in the middle. There were a few mistakes but nothing too distracting.
It was a light one time read. It could have been better.
