What does a family do when their beloved patriarch is gasping for air and the doctors are saying he might not survive? In the case of this family they keep talking to Jesus, keep supporting each other while knowing that everyone’s capacity is being exceeded. It’s messy. It’s icky. It’s real and it happened to the Stalcup family in December 2018.
This book tells a real life drama by real life people with no tidy answers, just an example of how you too can come through the storm stronger and more resilient.
A decade ago, Elizabeth Moll Stalcup heard the call of God to start a Healing Center at her local church in suburban Northern Virginia. Today she is associate director of the original healing center and executive director of HCI, Healing Center International, a new non-profit the seeks to foster healing, maturing community throughout the DC metro area and beyond.
Elizabeth began her career as an author while writing for a variety of publications including Charisma, Christian Parenting Today, Virtue, and Spirit-Led Woman. She coauthored God Will Not Fail You, a book about the miraculous life of Samuel Doctorian, a poor Armenian boy who has ministered throughout the Middle East and the world. In addition, Elizabeth has authored a memoir of her early years entitled Crossroads Before Me, the first of several books telling her inspiring life story.
