This is by far, the best book ever written on inherited retinal diseases. It pre-dates all the molecular genetics now known and doesn't include modern retinal imaging. But as a starter book, it does a great job of mapping out the vast number of IRD and organizes them in a logical way. It also deals with some of the confusion of some diseases being called different names through history.
