Grasshopper is ready for anything and she's very reassuring to her friend Cricket, who worries over all things and situations. I've got worryworts in my group, and lately, I overworry, too, so had sympathy for poor 'ol Cricket.
A good tale to walk through showing the circumstances and situations that pop up in life are sudden, unpredictable and most just happen randomly. . . participants are not specially punished, zapped or just generally deserving of bad luck. . .it just happens. And perspective helps . . .Grasshopper is looking out for Opportunities. Cricket is looking out for Catastrophes! A good read for my fellows learning to pick their ways through life.
The whimsical artwork was a lovely treat and supported the story well.
I liked the information about worry for kids and the way the two insect friends looks at the adventure in different ways. The pictures were exceptional. I think this is good for all kids.
