Valentine's Day is nigh, and romance is in the air on Christmas Key. Things are heating up between Mayor Holly Baxter and the island's newest resident, Miguel, and there's a seafood festival coming to town. Holly's DNA results have come in and suddenly there's a man in her life to fill the role of father figure--but does she even want to meet him? When a tragedy happens on the island its residents must pull together to help a stranger--whether they agree with Holly's methods and motives or not.
Stephanie Taylor writes a romantic comedy series about a fictional island called "Christmas Key," as well as several other standalone romance, YA, and middle grade titles.
Adored the latest Christmas Key installment. Holly Baxter has her hands full with her island family, discovering more blood family, hosting a new event, and discovering what her relationship with Miguel might be. Such joy reading these pages!
I’ve given all the books 5 stars but saved my review for after number 7. I really love this series and all the twists and different stories. This series continues to be about everyone, rather than each book jumping to different characters to high light. You are allowed to get invested in everyone and you stay invested. It will be best to read them in order and thankfully, the author doesn’t rehash huge segments to catch people up that didn’t start at the beginning. Seriously people, start at the start! I loved all the characters but when I read about Coco, I envisioned Wendie Malick because she acts just like her character on American Housewife. You will mostly laugh and you will get choked up. If the series ends with number 7 I can be perfectly content imagining the rest, HEA of course. Not a spoiler: the Alex twist is hysterical when you imagine Coco’s reaction.
Another amazing book! I got to the last page and couldn't believe that was it. I needed more! I will have to wait for the next one I guess. This series is one of my all time favorites. I don't know if it's because Holly is so relate-able or if the rooting for her happy ending, but these books make it so hard to put down. I loved how this one didn't necessarily focus so much on her romantic relationships, I'm still on the fence of how the new love interest is working out. I'll be so sad when Holly's story eventually (in the distant future I hope) comes to an end.
This is the second series of books I have read. This is the second time that I have cried thru a series.I wrote to the author from that series and told her I would never read another one of her book.,and I haven't. z So I add you to the list of authors that are really bad at writing .If this was supposed to be a romantic book, you where not even close
This was a great read and I feel like I am being left without a part of my family leaving this series. I totally enjoyed reading these stories including the side trips into some characters back stories.
Could not put this latest Christmas Key story down once I started it. I absolutely love Holly and the residents of Christmas Key and eagerly await the next book.
