An outdated juvenile book detailing the history of thanksgiving starting with Greek and Roman harvest festivals, up through European adaptations and the take over of Christianity. Ending, of course, with the Pilgrims and some scuttlebutt about Franklin Roosevelt changing the week of Thanksgiving causing all sorts of football scheduling nightmares. Not a book worth seeking out. An hour read, at best. An extreme lack of details and it's effort to be American Indian friendly is only partly accomplished. The writing, however, is fairly good. Unfortunately, there is not a teenager alive who would stand for it now.
