Rate this book
Drawing on developmental and linguistic theories, this resource for teachers and speech-language pathologists gives guidance in improving the language skills of preschoolers who have speech or language impairments, typical language skills, or who are learning English as a second language. Using the experiences of the University of Kansas Language Acquisition Program, the authors show specific intervention techniques as well as how to create natural opportunities for language intervention during activities. A good basic overview of effective methods to employ in a speech-language preschool classroom. The first half of the book was especially relevant.
