I actually enjoyed this story as it was slightly less taxing on the brain. Patton receives a letter from a lady asking for help. It then transpired that as the letter took so long to catch up with Patton, she was already dead. The investigation begins.
Problem being that this all happens in the patch that Patton was responsible for when a police officer. And when he had retired from there under a slight cloud, he had friends and enemies within the force.A
Still plenty of twists and turns as well as suspects but a good mystery thriller non the less
