The book Teens at risk: imposing viewpoints covers many topics. Most of these topics are on things that teens go through or have gone through. One of the big things that I really liked about this book is that with every new story and every new topic there were facts and data that backed up everything that was being said. They always either had personal experiences or actual events that happened that would also Be used as evidence. one other major thing that I really enjoyed about this book is that at the beginning of every story, it tells you what to consider while you were reading. for example for Viewpoint number one says “ as you read consider the following questions 1. Why does James Fox believe that murders by juveniles will Skyrocket in the first decade of the 21st century 2. according to Stephens what are the consequences of inadequate Health Care?”. I really enjoyed this because it would help me really dig deeper into the subject and really understand what point they're trying to make. Overall this book is really good because yes it does cover certain topics that teens need to know about or that teens might be going through,it gives viewpoints on both the bad and good of that topic and at the end gives you advice. One book that I would recommend reading is Smoking: Current controversies by Auriana Ojeda Because this is the same author that wrote Teens at risk. I would give this book five out of six stars because it gave me more insight on certain subjects that aren't talked about a lot, and it helped me understand these subjects more.
