This may be a children's history book, but it might outshine many other adult history books on the same subject. It's so dense. By that I mean every sentence matters. I take notes on all history books I read. Though this one was short, it took so long to read because every page was full of important information. The details are reminiscent of historical novels, giving readers of sense of the sights and sounds of the city. The illustrations are superb. Why don't more adult books have illustrations?
