This is an interesting book with tales about Marshal Tom Smith of Abilene, Wild Bill Hickok, Mike Meagher of Wichita and Henry Brown of Caldwell. In addition, the author includes the grim tales of Jim Courtright, Luke Short, Tom Horn, and Dallas Soudenmire. The author believes that the researched case histories of the Mastersons and the Earps, Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch, Sheriff Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid are much more interesting than the romantic versions often told about them. Fun read!
