Review: For the most part I thought this was an enjoyable fantasy book and I loved the time travel aspect of it! The characters are well developed and detailed and the book is also very well written.
However, I felt sometimes the book was a bit chaotic during the action scenes. They were a little hard to follow. The book is also slow and there is a lot of detail with the characters and story that you have to refer back to in the book to remember.
This book was such fun. It was an exciting ride through time and space with young friends celebrating Hannah Goodheart's 13th birthday. When a time traveling thief steals Hannah's necklace, Hannah and her friends slip through a door in time to find the one person who can control the powerful pendant. They must find them before the universe is wiped from history. Even though I'm way to old for this book, I found it mesmerizing, It's clean with lots of good principles to live by. and this book isn't just for the girls. there are lots of boys in Hannah's travels. So I give this book 8 stars. I loved it and can't wait for the next one. For a first novel I think C. Michael Morrison did a beautiful job.
I attended the book launch party on 21Sep2019, where I got an early, personally autographed copy of the book.
This book seems to start a little slow as it is introducing characters and background. Pay attention or else you may find yourself going back to see what you may have missed later on. The author subtley captures you and then you can hardly put it down.
I am 68, and this reminded me a little of the C S Lewis "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe" series. GREAT for all ages.
An excellent book. I picked this book up as soon as I could get my hands on it and I don’t regret it.
Hannah is a great character with a great backstory. We get a lot of details but not over baring. You really feel connected to the characters of this story and the use of time travel is perfect.
I can’t recommend this story enough for young adults to adults. Extremely well written and I can’t wait to see the next adventures!
I had the pleasure to meet the author of this book and get a signed copy on my brief vacation to West Virginia earlier this month! Being such a book worm for me it was so awesome to find there was a book fair going on that week while I was there as it was such a fount of creativity and inspiration. I really enjoyed this book too, it has a great blend of adventure, mystery, and sci fi to it and will keep you on your toes wanting to know what will happen next. I always love the connection to history that time-traveling stories have and this book is full of that as well. The characters are really the heart of this tale and hold a true warmth and life to them.
This is an awesome blend of fantasy and action-packed adventure with touches of magic! Plus there is time travel so what more could you possibly want! I loved this adventure with young Hannah and all of her friends saving the world. Great book for middle school age. My students loved it!

What I Loved: I love a good time travel book and that is exactly what I got with Hannah Goodheart and the Guardian of Time! I enjoyed how they traveled through time and how the time travel worked. It was all lovely!
How I Felt: The characters were well-developed and had great growth throughout the story. Hannah is a great lead that is easy to connect to, and her friends are the perfect support system for her. The thief was a great character for them to chase, giving the story a feeling of constantly moving forward. I never felt stuck in one place during the story.
The story was filled with fantastic adventure and action. At times, I did feel a little confused about where the characters were in the action scenes. I would have liked a little more description in those areas so that I had a better sense of the entire situation. Outside of that though, the story flowed wonderfully. The writing created the entire world so well and I was completely drawn in and really enjoyed it!
Overall, this was a well-written book that drew out strong emotions from me. Hannah Goodheart and the Guardian of Time
To Read or Not To Read: I would recommend Hannah Goodheart and the Guardian of Time for middle-grade readers that are interested in a plot, as this one has a strong plot that needs to be followed to fully enjoy the story! While this is a young reader’s book, this is the type of book that adults will enjoy as well!
I was provided an advanced reader's copy of this book for free. I am leaving my review voluntarily.

Hannah Goodheart and the Guardian of Time has written a great debut for C. Michael Morrison. It was full of mystery, suspense, magic, action and adventure. I loved every single page. I am giving Hannah Goodheart and the Guardian of Time five stars. I am excited to find out that this is book of a series by the same name as this book. I would love to see where else Mr Morrison’s imagination will take his readers to in his next release. I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Mostly, I enjoyed this book, but it seemed just a bit pretentious to me, for a YA novel. The concept was somewhat original, and I found it interesting that it started out in North Texas, where I live. I’m not sure if I will continue the series.
i really liked Hannah Goodheart and the Guardian of Time. it was an enjoyable read and a good break from all the dark books ive been reading. i immediatly bought the ebook as soon as i finished this copy.

As the parent of a young teen, I have often gotten frustrated with an inability to find appropriate reading material that my daughter will enjoy. Books from most genres that would hold her interest unfortuantely include language, sex, and/or violence. Not so with this book! It is a clean, wholesome read with plenty of action and enough science fiction to keep them interested! Here is what my daughter said: "The plot of Hannah Goodheart and the Guardian of Time has a good, well-planned story plot. The author has covered details well. I like how it's appropriate for teens, unlike most teen books, and it has a character you'll love. Overall, the book was good. I only had a problem with one character. You couldn't say he was bad or good, and he didn't seem to be either until the end. But this book is very excellent!"
Our 12-year-old daughter loved Hannah Goodheart and the Guardian of Time! Here's what she had to say:
"It is an amazing book that has a mashup of sci-fi, fantasy, history, and mystery. I love it and can't wait for the next book in the series to come out. Make sure you pay attention to the plot, though!"
