22 books91 followersPeople often ask me what I wanted to be as a child. Sometimes, they hurry to add “how lucky you became a writer!” In fact, I never really wanted to master a profession. I just had a strong desire to study and teach, to help people solve their social problems, to participate in the process of reforming society, to contribute to the life of young people. Until I decided where to start, I just kept learning.
I got my first degree from the University of Economics. But after four years of study, I realized that I could not achieve my goals as an economist. I became increasingly convinced that what people need most is a healthy philosophy of life and good literature. Thus, I went on to study theology, oriental studies, Eastern and Western philosophy at various universities around the world for nine years. Then I got a degree as a consulting gestalt therapy psychologist at the faculty of Psychological counseling at the Moscow Institute of Positive Technologies and Consulting. In short, I tried to acquire academic knowledge in areas that covered the universe, cognition, and the human inner world.
What is my hobby?
I believe this is a crucial question, the answer to which helps to get to know a person better. Two hobbies have mattered greatly to me since childhood: reading and sports. At the age of seven I started with Greco-Roman wrestling, the Soviet martial art called “sambo” and judo; later, these sports were joined boxing. I participated in competitions and came second in the international judo tournament Edinstvo ("Unity") in 2011. Now, I continue training; this is my way of life.
When I grew older, I also became interested in travel. I carefully plan where to go. Everything I see on my trips gives rise to ideas for my works. To see, to know, to feel and then to create: this gives a special flavor to fiction. It comes to life and breathes, enriched by the impressions of the writer.
In the novel The Man on the Rails, there are several excerpts about the massacre in Srebrenica. When I went to Bosnia and Herzegovina, I visited Srebrenica, saw the cemetery with the victims’ graves, met and talked to witnesses.
When traveling in Ireland, I gathered interesting information for my intellectual-psychological detective novel, Abaddon.
The serial novel The Pathfinder tells about a life of African tribes far from modern civilization, a life full of struggle and deprivations but also of interesting traditions and ancient beliefs. This novel depicts wild African nature, the exciting events in the boundless savannah and the dense woods. Getting acquainted with Africa, the cradle of humanity, was so fascinating that I went back there more than once.
In December 2019, I visited Antarctica. The way there was hard; I traveled through Latin American countries. From the famous city of Ushuaia, nicknamed the edge of the world, I went to the land of ice. On the way, I made friends with the legendary Drake Strait. During the expedition to Antarctica I got acquainted with many international specialists, scientists, and researchers; saw the scientific activity of the polar stations, observed the unique fauna. I also had a chance to swim in the icy waters of the ocean, to dig a hole in the ice and spend the night there. These emotions and impressions were reflected in the novel Minus Zero, which consists of two parts. In this book, the heroic explorer Robert Scott, one of the first conquerors of the South Pole, and the young Norwegian geographer Linda narrate the dangers they faced in the land of ice and unveil some mysterious events taking place in polar stations.
What genres do I write in?
I began my work with scholarly and philosophical books. In 2010, my first book, Scientific Bases of Self-purification, was published. In it, I describe the factors of spiritual revival and personal decay, qualities of the soul and the shades of light and darkness it manifests.
In 2011, I translated and gave a broad explanation of one of Avicenna's lates

Bu kitab, sekulyar təbliğatın əsarətinə məruz qalmış insanları hədəf alır. Məsələn, yalan-yanlış dini təriqətlərin əsarətindən demək olar ki, danışılmır. Əslində yazıçını qınamaq da düzgün olmaz. Nəticədə, cəmiyyətdə trend nədirsə, ona görə də yazıb.

Hər zaman düşüncəmin yaxşı mənada dəyişməsinə görə axtarışda olmuşam. Əlbəttə ki, elə əsərlərlə tanış olmağın intizarındayam ki, həm mənim, həm də digər insanların sanki iztirab çəkdiyi qaranlıqlara tam aydınlıq gətirilsin. Tam səmimi olaraq qeyd edim ki, yazıçı ilə razıyam. Doğrunun axtarışında olan insan gərək ki, doğrunu tamam-kamal əldə eləsin. Əks təqdirdə sanki, bütün ümidlərini itirmiş olacaq. Belə olan halda heç bir yəqinlikdən söhbət gedə bilməz. Çox halar olub ki, bu mövzularda kitablar seçib almışam ki, kitabı alanda sevincimin həddi-hüdudu olmayıb. Fikirləşmişəm ki, mən axtardığımı bu kitabda tapacam. Lakin kitaba müraciət etdikdə, heç də istədiyimi ala bilməmişəm. Bu kitab həqiqətən bir başqadı. Tam şablonluqdan uzaq, mətləbi çatdırmaqdan ötrü özünü dağa-daşa vurub dəlil gətirmədən tam bizə lazım olanı çatdırır. Kitabın oxunulmasını istəyən yazar, oxucuların qəlbini oxumalıdı. Rövşən müəllim sinəsi şübhə və sualla dolu bir gənc nəslin axtarıb tapa bilmədiyi mövzulara "Əsarət" adlı kitabında təfsilatı ilə aydınlıq gətirir. Mən şəxsən hər zaman düşünmüşəm ki, bizə elə bir mənəvi yoxsulluq üz tutub ki, bu problemi aradan necə qaldırmaq olar?! Şam işığı ilə axtarılan bir itiyə bənzədirəm bu məsələni! Bunun da çarəsi ancaq həqiqət axtarışında olan alimlərdir.

İstənilən halda insanın əsarətdə olması pisdir. Amma ən dəhşətlisi düşüncəsinin əsarətdə olmasıdır.Yəqin Cəlaləddin Rumi o baxımdan deyib:"Sən düşüncədən ibarətsən". Bilmədiyimiz nələr, nələr, nələr var ki, düşüncəmizi əsir alıb və bir çox narahatçılıqlarımıza səbəb olub. Bilmək üçün bu kitabı oxumaq lazımdır. Rövşən Abdullaoğlunun "Əsarət" adlı kitabı necə deyərlər o əsarətdən deyil. İnsanın düşüncəsini azad edən "əsarət"dir. Narahatçılığımıza səbəb olan suallara açıq, aydın, məntiqli cavablar verən kitabdır. Çox faydalı, gözəl kitaba görə müəllifə təşəkkürlər.
