Reading, writing, and white-water rafting are the three things Anitra Lynn enjoys the most. She is the author of erotic romances from contemporary to science fiction and everything in between. Even though her tales range from sensual to sizzling, with settings from the high rises of New York to the distant shores of an alien world, one thing all her stories share is compelling characters involved in unforgettable romances.
hahaha this is soooo much fun.. such an entertaining and fun series.. it makes me smile and laugh so many times.. the mistakes made.. the love and irritations haha.. it was so amazing.
This book was kind of a role reversal among the other books in this series so far. When Luke is in danger, he accidentally summons his guardian angel, Gabriel, which is pretty much to be expected from these stories. However, what is unusual is that the angel wants to stay, and basically tricks the untrusting Luke into being his mate.
Luke is a pacifist, broke, and in college. But his fear of violence allows bullies, and one in particular, to control his life. When Dustin takes things too far, Luke is reminded that he only ever wanted a good man, a good friend, a real hero. Then, literally out of the sky, his guardian angel comes down from Heaven to save him.
Luke is skeptical about Gabriel's real identity and intentions, and Gabriel doesn't make the greatest first impressions when out in the real world. But he listens to Luke's concerns and makes changes in his behavior to make Luke feel better. When circumstances lead to the need to relocate, Luke needs much reassuring, but eventually he begins to trust his angel.
After Luke faces his fears regarding intimacy, the two share an almost idyllic life together. But deep down inside, Luke knows Gabriel is keeping something important from him. When the angel doesn't come home one evening, Luke knows something has happened. He uses what he has learned over the last couple of months in order to bring Gabriel home, but it isn't enough.
Luke knows Gabriel wants him to be happy, so he works hard at school, and even finds a new place to live. He mourns, but he knows he has a guardian watching over him. However, Gabriel did more selfless acts during his time on earth than selfish, so God forgives him and allows him to return to Luke, just not quite the same. This leads to a very sweet and happy reunion with the happily ever after Luke has always dreamt of.
Happy reading!

This was a nice story with two men who really did need one another. While I wasn't really invested in their story, I did really like how it ended. Gabriel was a little harder to like because of his constant dismissal of many of Luke's concerns, questions, and convictions. Luke's moral beliefs when it came to relations, intimacies, etc. seemed a little out of place. To claim he knew little about religious things but held notions of prudish appropriateness that typically come from religious experience felt incongruous. I absolutely respect his desire to wait, that it was something special to him, and I had zero problems with that sentiment, but Gabriel's countering and then praising it didn't sit well. There were quite a few things that didn't really add up and it detracted from my enjoyment of the story.
Where the first two stories in the series had the human mate go on some kind of journey, Luke's was very different in that he needed to find himself and know who he really was and what he was all about without strong male personalities guiding, taking advantage of, or protecting him. I don't think he fully achieved it, but it was a nice thought that could have used a bit more attention. By the end I was okay with the story and haven't given up on the series.
This is book #3 in the "Accidental Mates" series. In this story our MC, Luke who is being bullied and assaulted accidentally summons a guardian angel from some of his blood that he wiped on his shirt.
Once his guardian, Gabriel, not to be confused with THE Gabriel, arrives on the scene in all his angelic glory, the bully and his gang scatter like roaches when the lights come on. 😂
Luke is a poor struggling college kid who goes without meals from time to time to keep a roof over his head. He is truly a good, decent human being who is making the best of his current situation.
He has to stay on his Angel who seems to blur the lines of right and wrong. Luke struggles with wondering if his guardian is truly an angel of devil in disguise.
This one didn't "do it" for me the way the first two books did. I think that's because the first two had silly funny situations and this one was more serious, a little dark, tragic, and sad. It definitely ends on a happy note and our MCs get their HEA.
On to book #4! 💖🌈💖
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.⛄
This sweet, well-paced Angel/ human MM paranormal romance is the third book in the series “Accidental Mates” & is somewhat different to the previous books but I promise you it is definitely worth reading. The plot is quite suspenseful with some unexpected events & the characters are interesting & continue to emotionally develop throughout the story-line. There is: a innocent young male college student (Luke) who is being bullied by a the dorm bully (Dustin) accidentally summons his guardian angel (Gabriel) who promptly decides to seduces him, angels, demons, humans, some twists, suspense, drama, humor, secrets, verbal confrontation, threats, aggression, conflict, discovery, shock, attraction, declarations, determination, manipulations, a unexpected marriage, protectiveness, vandalism, enticement, compromises, vengeful payback, torture, banishment, threats, decisions, heartache, loneliness, surprises, happiness, verbal banter, some steamy scenes, contentment, love & a beautiful well-deserved conclusion.
Oops! Angel is the third book in the Accidental Mates series by Anitra Lynn McLeod. It's a paranormal m/m romance that will have you wanting your own Angel. What's a Guardian Angel to do to keep you safe? Apparently marry you.
Luke needed help in a frightening situation, and so when he accidentally summons Gabriel and is saved from a beating, things look good. And when that Guardian Angel seduces Luke, that's even better. But can an angel live on Earth?
Luke and Gabriel are entertaining and fun. I love how sweet they are together. The story has some angst, suspense, humor and romance. Overall, a fun and interesting read.
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation. .
This series is getting interesting!! These book are about supernatural beings and the way they accidentally get to earth and found their fated mates. Each one of them can be read as standalone, and the next book is better than the previous one. Now is the turn of Luke, a virgin college student meeting Gabriel his guardian angel (not the Gabriel you are probably thinking about, because.... are you the only one with your name in the world?) and how they got together after some interesting adventures including a demon, a bully and punishment for breaking the rules. Easy to read, really enjoyable and funny. Great third book in the series!! I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
Again, this series is so random in the way that it starts out but it is also enjoyable to read, partly because of that! Luke doesn't question when a naked man appears in a bolt of lightning to help him in a fight. I didn't really feel a sense of connection until about half way through despite how fast they became physical. It took a while for Gabriel to feel like he has an emotion, mostly he's helped by Luke who guides him through the "real world" that he hasn't experienced for many years. While it took me a while to feel drawn to them, I did like the relationship that the men manage to build. It's good to read but will, I think, make more sense if you've read the previous books in the series. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
I got an ARC copy of this book and it is currently available for purchase.
This has been my least favorite of the accidental mates series so far. Angel's are hard to write because of all the religious connotation and this story fell victim to that a bit.
I felt like it was an ok story just a little more boring than the others as the paranormal element wasn't as creative in this story. I also was not happy with the weird sexual assault we are just turning a blind eye to. I'm thinking he should be turned into the authorities.
Overall, it was an ok story but the paranormal element was lacking for me.
Send me an angel...who can turn $1 bills into $50's. LOL This is the sweet, sexy story of Luke, who is poor, mistreated by his peers, and doesn't realize his own value, and sexy rebel angel Gabriel. They were both sweet and lovable. I loved the way Luke cared for others and *made* Gabriel do the right things with his powers. Even though Dustin had hurt him terribly, he still didn't want him to be hurt. Gabriel is - well - an angel, and I love the way he nurtured and supported Luke and showed him that he was worth EVERYTHING. Sweet love story, with a perfect ending.

This story contained a sweet and sexy romance mixed with moments of horror and absolute devastation. The opening scene was violent and anxiety-inducing. On one hand, I enjoyed watching Luke and his guardian angel Gabriel fall in love, despite the secret that Gabriel was obviously keeping from Luke. They were so good together. On the other hand, there were a couple of characters here who were absolutely evil, and I found myself just hoping for Luke and Gabriel to manage to survive, never mind finding a way to be together forever. The story had me completely engrossed, and I cared about these characters as if I knew them. Despite the darkness, I am glad I read this book.
The Accidental Mates Series brings an interesting twist to the paranormal genre. A lot of the M/M paranormal books tend to be very heavy, full of action, and a lot of angst. This series is a refreshing find that brings a little lightness and escape to the M/M paranormal world. I love when characters break stereotypes and molds and this story delivers that! Gabriel is an angel who is no so angelic however Luke who is human truly a sweet kind person. What a great way to approach an angel/human story since there are so many out there this spin sets this book apart!
I really liked the story line. It was a bit different than the first two in this series. I enjoyed how Luke was a bit hesitant with his guardian angel and always wanted to do what was right. Then you have his guardian angel, Gabriel, who seems to want Luke from the start and is willing to do whatever it takes to look after and make Luke happy. I loved everything about the ending, from the sad moments to the happy.
This is the third book in The Accidental Mates Series. A delightfully written book. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters interesting. The characters were developed and thought out. Gabriel is an angel and Luke is a human and they are the MC’s of this book. I can recommend this book as a good read. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
Ok now I have enjoyed the previous 2 books in the series but this one just became my favourite. Luke and Gabriel are so adorable together. Luke is in need of a guardian angel so in swoops Gabriel to save him just in time. Gabriel wants to stay on earth with Luke but disobeying orders from heaven will get him in trouble with the powers that be. A great addition to the series, I am loving every story.
This is probably my favorite one so far. The insta-love is almost literally instant in this one and the author still brings up minor details that never get discussed afterwards. At one point, the main character’s heritage is mentioned and then never brought up again. While the main character seemed to decide that they didn’t want to know anything about their heritage at the moment, it still felt unresolved to me. Maybe I’m reading too much into this though.
How I love this series. Gabriel and Luke are sweet, charming and loveable characters, there scenes are so steamy I could have kept on reading. Also have two villains who get what they deserved.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book for my honest opinions of which I’m under no obligation to do so. I absolutely recommend this story.
Luke is in trouble he is surrounded by his housemates and they want him beaten, so he prays for help and his guardian angel Gabriel appeared, scaring off his would-be attackers but then he won’t leave.
This is the third book in the Accidental mates series and it’s such fun, this is a truly entertaining and good series. This particular book is my favourite so far.
This is the 3rd book in the Opps! Angel Accidental Mates series. This was another great book into the series. I was super excited to read this one, as Angels are one of my favorites to read.I liked the characters Luke and Gabriel. I thought Luke was adorable. Gabriel was a tad irritating but I think he did change things around in the end. Great job!
Another fun addition to the Accidental Mates series. These book are about supernatural beings and the way they accidentally get to earth and found their fated mates. Each one of them can be read as standalone. Now is the turn of Luke, a virgin college student meeting Gabriel his guardian angel. This story is fun, entertaining and a good read! I'm looking forward to book 4!
This was a well written read. It was enjoyable, but it's my least favorite. To me, I disliked the sacrifice that Gabriel had to make so that they could be together. And I wasn't that fond of Luke he was almost emotionally draining for me.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
This third entry in the Accidental Mates series had a bit more angst and sacrifice, but it was still an enjoyable, sweet, charming, sexy, poignant, and delightfully different story. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in this awesome series.
I’ve really enjoyed Luke and Gabriel’s story. I liked the characters, although Luke seemed way too young to be so jaded. The storyline was entertaining and quick moving.
Okay, so this is one I didn’t enjoy as much as the others. There were just too many secrets that Gabriel was keeping from Luke and it bugged me. I was glad that Luke was able to keep on his feet after Gabriel disappeared and I felt bad for how much he was hurting. I don’t know there was nothing wrong with the story but how Gabriel would constantly avoid talking about whatever was going on really bugged me.
I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.
