Revision Village was more useful tbh but I respect the effort that went into this book

Maybe this is the Stockholm syndrome talking, but I didn't quite dislike the Oxford maths textbook. While explanatory content was not fantastic (for this, you may be better off deferring to the Haese textbook) and examples not perfect, the breadth of questions offered was decent. Topics aren't really ordered in a logical way, so a student starting the syllabus would have to jump from chapter to chapter. Echoing another review, the book doesn't really do much to prepare for the actual examination, and a student preparing for exams should probably stick to other revision resources.
The amount of errors and corrections was a pretty big turn-off.

This book is even more deeply flawed than my personality.
There´s at least 1 mistake per chapter, and the answers are disagreeable as well. I´m highly unlikely to be incorrect, so it's defo the 5 co-authors coming up with individual segments and slapping everything together like a sandwich.

yes this is a book no I will not accept criticism
Here's a short summary for all future DP students taking AA HL.
Pros: The investigations are pretty good and help you to grasp the essence of what you're studying. The textbook is also moderately well designed - that is, the colours and fonts do not intrude the learning process and there is a nice balance between the pages being utterly cluttered and completely devoid of content (looking at you, my Oxford history textbook).
Mehs: Content-wise, it's okay. Okay-ish. There are some topics that are not covered despite the fact that they are in the syllabus, and some that are kind of left for you to figure out with very little guidance. Chapters 7 and 8 (which are among the most difficult ones) are especially poor in that regard. The exercises are completely different from actual exam questions, but it's not really the fault of this specific textbook, as it's simply the case with all IB Math resources.
Cons: The. Errors. Well, the textbook isn't *that* bad - there are occasional errors, but it's mostly fine. The worked solutions that accompany it, though... Sure, it must've been tedious solving thousands of problems for the person who compiled the worked solutions, but it would be a lot less tedious for students to solve them with proper solutions they can actually consult when they need to. In year two, you kind of start to develop an intuition for when there are errors in the solutions, but a reprint of the solutions would still be great.

This is a revised textbook in a series of 4 level of difficulty. This is meant to be equivalent to previous Math HL textbook, which is relabelled as AA HL. Some of the answer keys are not accurate.
