Later in life, Field worked withGreats like, James Beard, Craig Claiborne, and Julia Child, writing about and teaching cooking. The Yellow Peril by Michael Field | The New York Review of Books was published in 1967 and shows why, Michael Field was chosen Chief editor of the Time-Life Foods of the World cookbook series, and authoring Quintet of Cuisines in the series along with his wife Frances Field. he died before the series was complete. His books are thought to be some of the best cookbooks.
