Good for as short as it is. Doesn't go into too much detail. Just enough to give you an overview of Kaiulani, who she was and the big moments of her life. I had no knowledge of her before, and this was an interesting -- though sad -- introduction. This is perfect for adding to a homeschool lesson or unit study as it can easily be read in a day, one sitting even. Lots of wonderful pictures.

I am so glad I read this! Gave some insight during the change of power in Hawaii, however - not really. Just a collection of facts on a person..no analysis, added context of political turmoil, etc.
