Rate this book
Edited and Translated by James Chisolm and Stephen E. Flowers, This work contains every major reference to the practice of siedr in Old Norse literature, as well as some references to it from Latin and Arabic sources. The Source Book contains original text and translations. Never have all of the sources for practice of this kind of magic been gathered in an easily accessible form. For many, seid is the source of continuing fascination. For anyone really interested in this area of study it is necessary to read and study this book.

A shorter work looking at the mythological sources for what is known about the practice of Seidr. There is little by way of additional notes or insight and so this work only serves a purpose if you lack the texts from which it is sourced.
