While a bit outdated, and occasionally local lumber yards have never heard of the products the books suggest, these books do provide solutions to many home construction and maintenance concerns with detailed step-by-step instructions along with illustrations for many common tasks. I’ve found these books a great resource!

5 stars for that cover alone!
But, seriously, the entire T-L series are easily 5-star material. Useful DIY-type info simply does not stick to your brain (opposed to phoning it in) like "booking" it!
