This is our book group's selection for November. There are limited copies of the paperback so I have read it quickly so that I can pass it on to another person who lives in this town before it goes back to the library for someone else. The director of this library is the youngest son of Marcel Singer, Jeff. Marcel, his parents and two brothers escaped in 1037 from Austria to Shanghai, in fear of their life. As Jews, they suffered many times, as they moved on to the United States, opening and operating butcher shops. He met and married an American girl in four months, An interesting life.
