Having read and reviewed "The Curse" (https://www.amazon.com/review/R3HOXIN...), as well as "The Sinners" (https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-re...) I have now finished reading the last of this trilogy, "The End War"

Mark creates a perfect setting, post war United States. We again see Eda and her dog arrive at what is left of Boston. She needed to keep a promise to a dying friend. She wanders in and found herself 'captured' by a combatant from the End War. He questions her and finding her mission, brings her into his home, feeding her and giving shelter. The area he settled is a few steps from the water, which teems with fish and other wildlife. A small Eden except that there is another soldier out there, the last of the enemy. Out hunting his opponent, they encountered a lone Chinese soldier and with Eda taking cover, the two proceed to attack and try to kill each other. The war is interrupted by an armed force from a third country, that has landed in Boston with the intension of claiming what is left of this part of the country.

The rest of the book covers what happened to the two soldiers, Eda and her dog. The Trilogy ends with this book but a new storyline is laid out for what maybe the groundwork of a new series and a new direction. I will be keeping my eyes out for more from Mark Gillespie.

I did receive this, and the first two books as ARCs in exchange for an honest review of each one.

Another great book in this post-apocalyptic thriller series. This takes a slightly different track to the last couple of books, it was an unexpected turn but good and kept it fresh.
Once again reading this book there is a drive to keep going at an ever increasing rate to find out what on earth happens next! A great story, full of suspense and intrigue and action.
Highly recommend the series. I gave the other two books 4*/5, they were both a strong 4+ each, as is this and so to make it fairer overall I will give this book 5*/5. Read the whole trilogy - great reading!
I'm going to go and have a look at what else Mark Gillespie has written, I am now a fan.

A fight to the bitter end, where the winner is awarded five stars for another excellent post apocalyptic novel.
A fitting conclusion to the series. Again, another plot twist which was entirely unexpected. Mark Gillespie's characters all have heart, or if they lack one, they have other 'redeeming' features which turn them into sadistic, realistic, psychopaths...
There is no way anyone could predict how this trilogy could end, and isn't that the beauty of finding a great author? One who you know will take you on a fantastic journey through desolated America, with only a dog and a sword?
If you haven't read any of the books by Mark Gillespie, and if you love post-apocalyptic novels, then read this series now.

Again…

This is the final instalment of Eda's journey on the Eastern Seaboard.
In this one Eda makes a new acquaintance whom you will love.
We still have all the action, twists and turns that we have come to expect from these novels.
Such an amazing end to this trilogy and sad at the same time.
A must read if you have been reading this series and if you haven't started it you should.
Wonderful plot, so very well written. Amazing descriptions of area.
Can't wait to see what the author brings us next!
Highly Recommend reading!

I received an ARC from the wonderful author and this is my honest voluntary review.

I was given a free review copy by the author in exchange for an honest review.  I enjoyed reading the first two books, so I knew I had to read this, the finale of the trilogy.  The story once again grabs you right from the start to let you know that all is not what it seems. The author describes the scenes vividly and the characters are life-like; you’re drawn into the story as if you are a participant.  The story flows well, the mystery and suspense build through several twists.  The action turns deadly, and you wonder if anyone will get out alive.  This is an easy read and keeps the reader engaged the whole time.  If suspense is your genre, this series is a must.  Be sure to read it from the start, so it makes sense.

The must read conclusion of an excellent dystopian trilogy. The final installment of Eda's journey on the eastern seaboard is bittersweet. While this story is filled with action like its predecessors, Eda's newest acquaintance is an original whom you can't help becoming attached to. To understand this statement you will need to read this book and see for your self, not to mention find out how the saga ends.

More?

I enjoyed every one of the trilogy created by Mark the characters are well rounded , I really liked Goldman and the fact that no one was a survival expert. Most of all the books don't have a written to a formula feel which is all to common. I would even like more of the story to be told .

Good story. The War between America and China ended many years ago, but two old men are still fighting it and will until one is dead. Era is wandering across the East Coast and finds herself in Boston and right in the middle of this feud.

The end of the trilogy takes Eda to Boston to fulfill a promise.
She will get to know a new friend, will meet foes and nothing will be as she expected.
A very fast paced and entertaining post apocalyptic story. I would love to see/read a second arc ;)

Lightweight...

But much better than the previous book. Not a lot of character development, but plenty of action. Last book in the series. Interesting read.
