Lots of good stuff

Imaginative, interesting characterization, plenty of action, intriguing plot and occasional philosophical gems. In addition, it has a nice cover. Great fun for fantasy lovers.
I personally found it to be a difficult read however. Grammar, syntax, tense, even the occasional malapropism, rendered it an unpleasantly choppy collection of words. The frequent use of the S word made the literary experience smell bad to me. Authors should consider that some people react that way and have some pity. The story is maybe more trendy but it’s less amusing for those of us for whom to read it is to experience it.

It’s a good story, even tho I found connecting to the characters difficult at first. Which is why I’m giving it 4 stars. There is enough action going on throughout the book.

The one thing that made it difficult for me to get a good deeper feel and care for the characters was that they get introduced in the very beginning stage of the book. This though leaves you with a feeling of who does what and has what part to play. If you can manage reading past that, the story starts to develop.
