(Guitar Educational). An incredibly useful reference for guitarists, this book presents a wide variety of exercises designed to enhance not only technical ability, but also fretboard visualization skills. Unlike other giant books that cover only the most common exercises, this book presents every exercise type with numerous fingering options. Ideal for both beginners and pros, it includes: over 150 exercises, standard notation and tab, scales and arpeggios in all positions, diatonic and linear sequences, and much more.
I'm not really the right person to review this book, 3 stars is just a guess. It looks like it's for someone studying to become a professional. It does have some exercises and scales and the like that might be useful for an intermediate player, but it gets into tricky stuff pretty quickly. It's in standard notation and TAB. The pieces at the back (J.S. Bach - Sonata #5 Allegro Assai, Paganini - Moto Perpetuo, and Wohlfahrt - Study #3 Moderato) are all advanced violin repertoire, so equally challenging or more so for a guitarist.
