The book may be better than the audio version. Hearing the story in the authors voice made the lead sound like a pushover and not very smart instead of the protective mom and empath she was. Intriguing story.
Went back and forth between 2 and 3 stars… I don’t understand why some random lady would be like you know what someone died in this park in the past I want to investigate. That was super weird for me probably would have made it better if the murder had been while they were there so the curiosity angle would make more sense.
I couldn't finish this. The characters were not developed at all, the plot was weak, and the typos and misspelled words just irritating. Author and editor should be ashamed. I want my money back.
Not a cozy mystery by any means, but not a deep, twisty thriller either. Super satisfying and easy to listen to. Perfect palette cleanser after some heavier listens!
I tried the audio but the narrator’s voice was too hard to listen to. I tried to push through but DNF at 39%. Not much (nothing really) has happened with the plot either.
