This sweet story empowers one little girl, Brooke Lynn, to be Brave, Kind, Positive, and Respectful.
Feeling a close connection with a ladybug she met the day before and let go, Brooke Lynn sets out to find her new ladybug friend again. Remembering that her mother showed her how to tenderly handle a ladybug and where they live, Brooke Lynn's adventurous, yet hasty search, leads her to the final discovery right in her back yard! My Lil' Ladybug Friend fills the heart throughout but especially as she says genuinely, "Til we meet again, my lil' friend, good luck."
Great for Early Readers, plus bonus Ladybug Factoids included for discussion material.
Brooke Lynn (young girl) just met a Ladybug. Her mother came to see what her daughter was hollering about. After a bit, the Ladybug flew off. Bedtime. Mom teasingly told Brooke Lynn don’t let the bed bugs bite you. Will the Ladybug return?

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) Rhyming educational storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational movie, a classroom presentation, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

Brook Lynne didn't know what a ladybug was until one day while swinging, a red dot with black spots jumped down on her, even scaring her a little. But her mom was there to help explain what it was.
I don't remember reading a story about ladybugs before, and this one is so very cute. Your child will surely enjoy, as I did, the journey this young girl had with this cute little red bug. I appreciate the author Toby Williams teaching small children the beauty of nature and how to take care of things in nature. And Illustrator Corrina Hollyoake takes this story to another level with the cutness of the illustrations on each page. The characters are adorable, and I love the vivid colorful pages that are sure to capture the attention of children.
I strongly encourage you to check out this book for your child. My Little Lady Bug Friend is not only great for parents, its also wonderful for teachers, and anyone that is around small children.
I want to thank the author for a Kindle copy of this book. I was not expected to write a positive review. The opinions here in this review are my opinions alone.
Brooke Lynn had a magical moment, this day, while she was swinging. A small dot landed on her from above. She called her mom. It's a ladybug. They're friends and fun to watch. They are also good luck. She put her hand down and the lady bug climbed over to her hand. They counted her spots and legs and she flew away. She woke the next morning determined to find her friend...did she find her? Did she have good luck? This is a sweet story about the awe of nature as Brooke Lynn finds a ladybug and learns about the gentle bug and they become friends. The illustrations are great and will keep the kids age 4-10 coming back again and again for this rhyming story!
What a sweet picture book for primary grade readers. Brooke Lynn is swinging in her backyard when a red dot lands on her. She becomes worried until her mom assures her. Brooke and her mother study the creature and count its spots. Soon Brooke wishes to enjoy more adventures with her new friend. As she prepares for bed, Brooke wonders if she will be able to find her ladybug friend again.
This book teaches children to be kind and patient with animals. It encourages curiosity and empathy for our fellow creatures. My only complaint is that the font is small and a bit difficult to read even when enlarged on a Kindle reader. Recommended for readers ages four through seven
A charming story that is a reminder of the beauty and wonder of nature around us. A little girl, Brooke Lynn, becomes an explorer of nature in her own backyard. What is she exploring? A very small lady bug. The story is written in rhyme, with colorful illustrations. This is a delightful story to share with your child.
What a sweet story, I can’t wait to read it to my granddaughter who’s three. Brooke finds a spot a spot on her shoulder and calls for her mom, and as they look closer they realize it’s a little lady bug. The book has rhymes as the story goes along with cute illustrations.
What a delightful tale of a Brooke Lynn who encounters her first ladybug. Her mother tells her how special the ladybug is and then Brooke Lynn is enamored with it. Once they make a wish and send it on it's way, she longs to see it again and goes searching.
There is a wonderful note at the end about the ladybug and folklore surrounding it. Happy read for any child.
Lovely read, I’m 58 and enjoyed it throughly. Especially liked the factoids at the end about “lady beetle’s”. It just proves we are never to old to learn something new. I would highly recommend this book for children of all ages.
Really beautiful book with a fantastic rhyming story that flows so delightfully. An enchanting story about a girl and a ladybird that had my class hushed in expectant silence during storytime. Highly recommended.
This was a lovely story, I just read it to my niece who is home sick from church. Once I started reading her this story her little face lit up and she said how much she loves lady bugs because they bring luck. As an adult I enjoyed this wonderful story, the illustrations were stunning and I myself love ladybugs.

This is a delightful and sweet story about a little girls magical adventure with a ladybug. This story also captured a loving relationship between a mother and daughter and stirred up some of my own childhood memories! A lovely job
Brooke is very curious about her new friend, but will she ever see her again. Clever observations for children to ponder. We love discovering who is living in our garden.
A beautiful story about a sweet little girl Brooklyn Lynn and her adventures with a lady bug. Cute story for those ladybug lovers that will help explain what a sweet gentle creature ladybugs really are. Highly recommend!
A great book for kids growing into chapter books. Bonus, if you lady bugs. You will surely enjoy this read with this colorful illustrations and many subtle lessons.
This book is a cute little story about finding ladybugs.
The illustrations aren't quite your typical children's books illustrations and they have almost a chalk-like feel to them. They are beautiful, but I wasn't expecting them in this book.
This was a cute story about Brooke and her little friend. The reader will learn about the special relationship she has with a backyard ladybug. It’s a sweet lesson.
I love this story of Brooke Lynn’s encounter with a ladybug who she befriends. The illustrations and rhyming are entertaining and I would recommend it to young readers. A good bedtime story.
High quality rhyming story however probably better for older kids, it's quite long which is great but has limited images to keep the younger kids occupied
I'm not the target audience, but I thought it was adorable. I would have LOVED this book when I was a kid. Teaches a good lesson about respecting nature.
