About the author

Tom Badgett

I began my career as a small-town radio announcer after high school. That experience led to a television and documentary film career. I worked as a residential childcare worker for delinquent boys, taught speech and theater, computer technology and programming, color photography and technical writing as a college teacher. I owned one of the first computer stores in the country, was a co-founder of an Internet service provider in the 1990’s (US Internet -- USIT), and several other businesses in the 2000’s. I served as a technical writer for national magazines, including PC, Popular Electronics, and Digital News. I published some 60 technical books and produced 30 video training courses about computer technology.
My BA degree is in English and Spanish and my MA is in Documentary Film.
