This was a great introduction to the study of rhetoric. D'Angelo devotes a great deal of time to each idea, in a way that wasn't exhaustive or even comprehensive, but definitely easily understood. This book has also helped me get through the St. Martin's Guide: I read alternating chapters, and the understanding granted by D'Angelo made the St. Martin's chapters much clearer.
