Rate this book
The study aims to form a better understanding of Old-Babylonian houses, both as a building and as a socio-economic and anthropological space. A sample of 131 houses are analysed for their different construction types and, more importantly, thier different proxemics. The different types, some with central courtyards and/or central halls, others without, may have reflected the different status, size or function of these houses, or the nature of the family group occupying those spaces.
