An interesting snapshot of the pivotal work done in the 1980's to save the kakapo. Beautifully illustrated throughout and an engaging read that gives the historical context of today's Kakapo Recovery Programme and an introduction to many of New Zealand's other species and the impacts of introduced predators and habitat loss.
