Like the story. The verse isn't bad. But I don't like the art at all--it's basically all the same face,with nothing to give you a sense of different characters. They all look like Weebles or something.
Pity, because this tiny family out in the bigger world is reminiscent of the Borrowers. And with the right artwork, it would have had a lot more charm.

This book kind of just fell flat. It is supposed to have a rhyming scheme but for the majority of the book, the rhymes are just off. However, I do think that it is a fun book; it is fast-paced and has an element of mystery within it.

My five-year-old son picked this book out from the library last week.

This book had quite a bit of promise and could have been really, really good. Instead, it falls completely flat. The rhyming scheme didn't really work. The "bigger-picture" story didn't really work. And the illustrations did not work at all.
