Framework is a collection of thirty poems about city life, self, purpose or vision.
The work is organized for the wounded sage.
The poems are from Nicholas the Poodle, author of Linda and the Real World and A Literary Zine . They were written at the lowest point in his artistic career and hope to offer empathy to others who are drastically unable to process their life and the language surrounding them.
First
Mice
A field of pretty flags, blue mice a-bearing, whistling up the league,
‘Defeat the language barrier! Defeat the language barrier! Defeat the language barrier! Defeat the language barrier!’
“I am ready/ to reconvene,/ and the baby blue/ land of/ the disc/ will disappear,/ and so will/ I,/ and so will/ all the fears./ Though I admit,/ I say,/ I hope the wheat grows.”
