Just as picking a guide for a language excludes potential and includes liability so it is in the search for philosophical truth. However reading a dictionary like this one accomplishes the same fundamental bottom up presentation that Google translation software accomplishes for language. Studying words of the oldest language and best philosophies in the best possible way will let you find the controversies and intellectual nuggets that will inform your own best efforts to understand our/your place in things. There are significant differences in the editions.
