Published in 1989, 'Bomber Aircraft' is part of the 'Combat Development in World War Two' series. The contents of the book are a minimal update of Price's 1976 title 'Bomber Aircraft of World War Two'. As before, this is a short book in which the state of bomber aircraft technology is analysed at different points in the war, together with the impact of changing technology on prevailing tactics. Price's analytical approach and insight make this fascinating. There are many illustrations, but in my opinion the photos are far less relevant that the terrific drawings illustrating, for example, USAAF box formations. Excellent.
