I enjoyed reading the book, “The Last Olympian” by Rick Riordan. This book was intriguing because of its use of imagery and the way it displayed its figurative language. This was an interesting and captivating book because of these well used
Well, there are many reasons I enjoyed reading this book. The main one is the way the author used imagery. The book shows an example: “His eyes were bright and green like that stuff they put in glow sticks”. This excerpt demonstrates great imagery that the author used.
Another reason why I was captivated while reading this book was because of the figurative language used. An excerpt that displayed this was when the author wrote, “Over the city, a thunderstorm boiled“. This is a great use of personification because a thunderstorm cannot actually boil.
The book, the last Olympian, enraptured my interest. Especially the way the author uses imagery and displays figurative language. I rate this book a four out of five. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in fantasy, thrill, and adventure. You’ll be on the edge of your seat the entire book, it will keep you engaged till the very end.
