Book Title: I also slept with Rashmi Verma Author: Lovethon Format: Kindle
Book Title: The title of the book ' I also slept with Rashmi Verma ' is dark and quite bold.
Book Cover: The cover image of the book is a beautifully designed abstract image of a woman smeared all in various vibrant colors depicting her moods and emotions.
Plot: The story is set up in a college where a young gal is infamously famous for having sexual encounters with every other male in her college. The protagonist of the story gets provoked and dreams to have such experience. Will he get a chance? Why is she so liberal in her views and though she knows how infuriated people are with her behavior, why does she still continue?
Writing an erotic story without any sleazy and cheap storytelling is a craft. The author here has done the same. The author definitely makes a reader to explore the higher dimensions of sexual pleasures while reading the many chapters in the book, but in a controlled level which doesn't provoke any inhuman instincts. Kudos to the author.
What I like: 1. The entertainment quotient which glues the readers 2. A neat and well-written language while penning erotica is a risk involved task. The author has excelled in this. 3. The problems faced by youngsters regarding their sexual orientations and fantasies are very well illustrated. 4. The general social taboos and myths that either make or break an individual's confidence are presented very well.
What I didn't like: The stories could have been more in length so that all the characters would have had more scope. At some places, the story looks dry and dragging.
Characters: Every character in all the stories is written with great honesty and skill.
Narration: The narration of the story is found in the first person and the author talks to the readers through various experiences in his college he has and different encounters he has been through.
Language & Grammar: Colloquial language with a mixture of Hindi language at some places is found in the story.
My Final Verdict: An erotically emotional tale
Book Title: 4/5 Book Cover: 4/5 Plot: 4/5 Characters: 4/5 Narration: 4/5 Language & Grammar: 4/5 Final Rating: 4/5
Wow. This book really infuriated me. I was a bit weirded out by the title itself but I still gave the book a chance. Shouldn’t have. The male protagonist dreams of having sex with our female protagonist? Dreams? She sleeps with every other guy on the campus and denies sex to the protagonist? Are you kidding me? This is objectifying women at its best. The plot is lewd, cheaper than the blurb makes it out to be. I am in college and it is safe to say that none of the things that the author mentioned in their book happens in real life. I am in no way against erotica, don’t get me wrong, I enjoy it from time to time but I appreciate erotica where a woman’s respect does not deteriorate with every page. The language and the writing style both are unsurprisingly classless. I usually don’t mind the use of ‘Hinglish’ in books but the mixed use of language just was the last straw for me. I would give it a star for the no good at all stories that were slightly, less than slightly even, funny.

REVIEW:
Title– It could have been a better name. Cover– Cover is smart and intriguing and looks great. Plot– College and the life lead there is different from the time we have come from, that is School. We learn, see, understand, feel and get along altogether with different things. Here, in the story, the protagonist Rashmi Verma lives a happening and happy life in her college days. There she comes across with her feeling for guys where she is portrayed extremely erotic and sexually-desperate. In the story, the author has tried to create a strong and bold plot but could not do justice with every word and especially the character of the protagonist is not quite likable.
As the story moves forward, every word and things done by Rashmi is rationalized. Though, she is a bold character and in the end, it ends well. It is a one time entertainment read. It can be opted by the reader for a light read. Language– This book has a simple language and an easy read. Nothing makes you feel complicated about the book. It can be chosen as a one time read. Pace– since, it is an erotic thriller and so it has a captivated plot line which can keep the readers gripped. Writing something of this genre is not easy and here the author has done a commendable work by experimenting something unique and different.
RATINGS: Title – 1/5 Cover – 3/5 Pace – 4/5 Plot – 3/5 Characters – 3/5 Language – 3/5 Overall – 3/5

Review-
Rashmi Verma. The name which revolves in front of every reader since the beginning, that is from the title ” I also slept with Rashmi Verma. This Erotically penned down version and an amazing mode of nailing down few things in this new changing generation made me read this book at a single shot with complete concentration.
Rashmi Verma, the central protaginist and the narrator on whom this entire story is based upon takes up in college life of few students, mainly the narrator and Rashmi Verma. Beginning from the title, this book attracts the readers in its own way of making the reader feel curious to know more in depth behind the cover and the way the particular title has been set for the book.
This book tries delivering a very strong message through very small quotations and many a times it did succeed in showing up the exact need of few scenarios. With mystery and love between souls, this book creates a confusion and generates an unexpected twist as well. A worthy one time read with a touch of love from the bottom of the heart.
Book Review by #LITEROMA :: "I also slept with Rashmi Verma" by Love Thon
** Thanks to the author for gifting us a Kindle copy of the book for review. **

The book title tells a lot about its genre. Many may tag it as an Indian erotica, but I found it more of a spicy chick-lit type, ready to be adapted into a web series. The central character is Rashmi Verma and narrator is one of her former partner's roomie who too ends up sleeping with her after a prolongued eyeing phase. Interesting was his sleeping intent - not because he had a lust but he wanted to prove his confession true.
The intermittent hindi dialects like 'harami', 'nagar vadhu' etc bring the right break at times. English is simple and fluent with hardly any tough words used. The writing style quite matches the contemporary contents. Visual descriptions could create the right blend of fantasy and imagination.
The characterization of the narrator and other male snobbers were good but the protagonist has quite a few conflicting shades, not sure if that was purposely done. Also the book Cover could have been more captivating as the contents had lot of scope for artist's imagination.
I will definitely wait to read the author's next book. One recommendation for the author - whatever be the intention of using a pen name, the original name always creates a direct connect with readers for sure.
I also slept with Rashmi Verma is a typical campus life story, supposed to be full of romance, life, humour and all kinds of fun.
But guess what? It's not. . I picked this book because of its interesting cover and the expectation of reading something light, quick, and yet modern at the same time. But the book turned out to be offensive at so many levels.
For one, the narration and writing styles are contradictory. What is told to you at one point just takes a U-turn later in the story. The language is derogatory, and I think unnecessary, heavy vocabulary was used only to cover up the audacity of the story. It just feels like a big misfit. On top of that, there are grammatical glitches. I also didn't like the pictures with every chapter title. They feel out of place and childish.
With poor articulation and even poorer presentation, this book had thrown its one chance to be the next best perceptive, modern millennial take on college life, friendships, and sexuality. If I say it one line, I do not feel that the craft of storytelling is given the respect it deserves.
Full of stereotypes and offensive opinions, not just of sexual kind but caste based too, I regret reading this book. And even after closing the book (for good) I can still smell the misogyny on my fingertips. . A 2 on 5.
The main reason I picked up the book is the bright cover. It is designed brilliantly with the graphic of a woman and some emotions outbursting as different colours from her brain.
Does the cover do justice to the story that's hidden in the book. A complete dissatisfying NO. The cover portrayed a notion that the book would be somewhat related to a string female protagonist. I was completely wrong.
Well, so I proceeded thinking it would be a campus love story given the fact that it's happening in the college. Maybe it would involve some cute romance, misunderstanding. But it was not that as well.
A female protagonist who literally sleeps with every male in the college, somehow doesn't with the hero who is the author of the book. No matter how hard he tries he is unsuccessful to get her in bed. Starting of to be an erotica, wait no this book definitely shouldn't be termed to that genre as well. A handful of other silly characters and chapters which do not have any connection in between completely made myself regret the decision of choosing the book.
The writing style wasn't very engaging and not to mention the harsh and abusive words used by the author on women and a deeply condemning comparison to a dairy farm did not make me comfortable reading the book.
The plot is not racy or medium paced so you can finish it at one go.
To begin with, this is an erotic fictional story that has elements of fun and important life lessons; the story revolves around college students. Cover: 4/5 - catchy, cool and intriguing. Title: 4.5/5 - sounds very erotic and portrays the contents of the book. Content: 3.2/5- a very nice attempt to portray raw emotions of college students and the following are the reasons for the rating. Speaking of overall content, the author has tried to speak the voices of characters and at few places it became very predictable and monotonous. The characterization is pretty good. The most beautiful and important thing in the whole book I appreciate the most is the concept of consent; even when someone sleeps around, if someone touches them without their consent then their voice too be heard. This strengthens various feministic movements and is really good. At every possible place, the characters make us feel the scenario and that's a success of narration. The story has a high-speed start and grows steadily; meanwhile, there are few places which seemed quite lengthy and the author can improve it the next time. The author has shown the real mentality of different characters , who surprisingly might be present in our lives too. Overall, it was realistic and good. One time read.
A beautiful cover which shows a canvas of face of women in different angles with continuity, I felt it very creative. The title "I Also Slept With Rashmi Verma" is straight forward which gives an idea of the plot being erotic.
As the title suggests its an erotic plot, the story says about a young college girl Rashmi Verma having sexual encounters with most of her college mates. The male lead of the plot dreams to have sex with her too. Now, the question comes is why is Rashmi Verma such a girl is there something which she hides making her do this.
The language used in the book is simple English which would be liberal for most of the readers. The narration part of the book is also very smooth as the author has tried to explain sexual fantasies and issues with teenagers at college pretty well within the book.
The entire concept of the plot is different and to an extent was pretty naughty and witty. The author has openly tried explaining many things which would be not done in person. And full marks to the author in this regard. The entire plot is beautifully narrated and you would never feel bored, so this is positive.
The only small negative which I felt was there should have been more dept in the different characters as the story is mind-blowing.
I also slept with Rashmi Verma Author: Love thon Format: Kindle Pages : 199
I Also Slept With Rashmi Verma is a college campus story with a central love interest forming the backbone of the book where the author loves the lead protagonist Rashmi Verma and tries unsuccessfully to bed her and fails many a time. . What intrigued me to the book was the title and the cover. This could have been a new age, millennial book about college love and carefree lifestyle but more importantly a woman's sexual freedom. Unfortunately the book is nothing like that. . The plot is loose and fails at many points. The language is plainly foul. I wouldn't even classify it as an erotica because it plain disgusts at many points. When the author describes the protagonists specials escapades the language he uses only objectifies woman and is downright disrespectful. . Thoroughly disappointed with the books and it's misogynistic narrative.
When I read the title I was a bit shocked. And as I have completed reading this one, I would recommend to everyone to complete this book to understand the title and message of it. Rashmi Verma is sadly famous for sleeping and having sexual relationships with almost every guy in the college. The protagonist of the novel also dreams the same. But as the story moves ahead, it becomes interesting to understand about Rashmi Verma. The author has been successful in making the story interesting and title more interesting.. It is a good read. The concept is also good. I liked the language as it is not cheap at all. The erotic stuff is written nicely. I liked reading it. Good language is used. It is a good one-time read.
I picked up this book for its bold title that defines the character of the main protagonist Rashmi. The cover is intriguing and attractive as well. Narration is fast but slows down as the story progresses. Characters are well defined. Language is lucid.
What I liked? A college campus story that takes the reader on a nostalgic ride to the college days. The sexual yearnings of the youngsters has been presented well. The illegal activities of the students in hostel has been discussed explicitly.
What I didn't like? I felt women were portrayed in bad light. Usage of Hindi dialect and slangs sort of brings down the reader's interest.
My Verdict A nice erotic novella that has all the necessary elements without any sleazy and nasty content. A good one time read
I also slept with Rashmi Verma is written by Rashmi Verma and too with the protagonist Itself as Rashmi Verma whose personality is kinda that imaginary girl for almost each and every boy present in the college campus, the story deals with the love of the author who too desires to have Rashmi in his life once as everyone dreamt off.
While the story does have some twists that the author actually doesn’t plays the role of so called ‘hero’ , he’s actually been denied by her all the times then also the story continues and then there’s the tittle itself describes that ‘I also slept with Rashmi Verma’, so it must be an entertaining one .
Now go and grab this wonderful creation in your hand soon because there’s a lot more to discover inside instead of outside.
When I started reading the book, I thought it would be a kind of a romantic novel of a college couple, their romantic story. But I absolutely wrong! . This book is about a girl called Rashmi Verma who has a bad reputation of sleeping with all the boys! The author is supposed to be head over heels in love with her. He tries very hard to woo her to bed but all his efforts goto drain. There are other characters also in the book who are a part of their college. . My review : . The cover of the book looked very interesting. But I was highly disappointed when I read the book. The author has portrayed a woman's character in a very negative way. The language used in the book is also very offensive and abusive at some points. Some chapters do not have any connect to each other.
All I can say is that, writing a erotic book is not easy, but the author has done the work with a great manner. The title of the book is saying a lot, it itself a mockery and it's so catchy one that everyone can get attracted. The story is about a college girl who is very infamously famous for having a sextual relationship with many boys in her college. The whole book has a very different aspect that I liked the most. The entertaining way of writing can catch the readers attention very well. The language is simple and yet lucid. The cover is really eye-catching, I loved the colour combination very much. A very well narrated book. A must read!
The book is a mixture of erotica and humour. The language is lucid and comprehensible. However the usage of Hindi words makes one lose interest. The author has categorized the content in chapters and a few are interconnected. However the narrative which is in first person shows only one side of the story and the desire of the narrator to get the protagonist laid. What I found amiss is the other side of the story, the female perspective. Also the narration was limited to pages. The author could have elaborated it. It is a fun one time read. Wishing the author good luck and awaiting more titles.
The book has two parts one which deals with alot of important issues and one where there's alot about college life. The cover is beautiful trying to show the power in women, the different shades of emotions and what not.
The title I didn't like it much could have been something else. The book seemed like a drag at some places where the friend is trying to sleep with her.
The last few pages really does hit you alot with the emotions and pain Rashmi might have gone through. For me the second half of the book was good
Half of the book is also written in hinglish which I didn't like much. To sum it up good read for one time.
#saayareviews I also slept with Rashmi Verma. The moment a book starts acting cringy or sending negative vibes I really feel sad for the authors time and effort. This book has the same fate. Starting as a erotica novel the book crashes in the first two lines itself. It is not wrong to portray a sexually active protogonist , but when you start demeaning and objectifying women and in turn show how men are looking just to be laid it sends a very wrong and disturbing message. Set up as a series of unrelated college stories and ancedotes the book fails miserably to capture the essence of young minds and bodies.
Well, nevertheless it is sometimes good to write negative reviews as well.
Overall the book has multiple stories that talk about young romance, love, physical desires and lust. Erotica can be a bit challenging genre to write and dive into. As it not only must keep the readers engage but tell an uncomfortable story in a manner which is comfortable to read. The presentation of the stories is average and I did not enjoy the narration much. The author could have dealt with the subject and the female characters with a little more respect. Editing could have been better and the writing which breaks into Hindi amidst nowhere also could have been avoided.
I had thought that this will be a nice read but to my luck it was completely opposite of what I had imagined. How can people objectify women. The language was a big no no for me. I had a hard time reading this one. I understand if it is erotica than it should not be a problem but how woman was portrayed I didn't like it. The pace of the book was not good neither the story was.
I also slept with Rashmi Verma is a bold novel which talks about kinky things. Cover and narration is good. Only few authors in India are involved in writing erotic books and Mr.Tikku has done a good job at it. All in all, a good read for erotic lovers.
I also slept with Rashmi verma is an erotic thriller. The author a has done a great job in penning down the same. The cover is good and mysterious. I really enjoyed reading it.
The cover of the book is beautiful but the fonts could have been a lot better. The title of the book may be intriguing to the ones who like erotica but the storyline isn't entirely related to the plot. The book is a collection of stories of the campus college stories. The author has written about his friends and the oddballs in his college and various incidents which were slightly funny. The narration is at a moderate pace but the book isn't that interesting. I found it difficult to complete the books in one go. After some time, the plot seems boring. The ending is conclusive. The biggest problem I had was with the language. The language is offensive and abusive. Along with English, lot of Hindi has also been used which was a point I didn't like at all. The characters in the book objectify women and that was a major let down for me. The storyline at times is engaging. The theme of the book is also disappointing. In all, the idea of reminiscing the college memories is good but the way the book has been written is very poor.
When I picked up the book by its title, 'I also slept with Rashmi Varma', I thought this is going to be a college romance book. But as I read the few pages, I realised I am wrong. The male protagonist falls for the female protagonist Rashmi Varma who has slept with practically all men in her college except the lead. The plot of the story fails in multiple places, and the derogatory language makes it impossible for one to read the book in one go. Few of the chapters don't feel interconnected. Unnecessary use of many characters although few of the names are quirky.
The author has portrayed women only as an object to use. The main male character is given the status of Kabir Singh(the Shahid Kapoor movie), for his actions have no consequences or moral values. To add to the agony, all the various male characters are portrayed to be carefree, subject to vices and with no respect to women.
What could have been a nice college romance turned into a disaster here. Instead of getting nostalgic about college memories, the only feeling gets is deeply disgusted. This is exactly how the college shouldn't be. The only chapter which seemed to be okay was the Jesus one.
Overall for me, this book is highly disappointing with no takeaways or storyline.
When I first glanced at the book, I wondered at its strange title.
Going by the cover it didn’t seem like an erotic read.
Alas! How wrong was I in my perception and how brutally shocked I was when I started to read what was on the inside?
The story of I Also Slept with Rashmi Verma is based in a New Delhi college campus where the author is hopelessly in love with a girl called Rashmi Verma.
She is shown as a loose character who just about sleeps with everyone except the author.
While the author tries in vain to woo her to his bed, we are introduced to a rather eccentric bunch of characters who adorn the campus and add to the variety and spice of campus life.
The blatant objectification of almost all women characters is what put me off the most. One cannot help but feel sick at the crass comparison of a voluptuous woman to a dairy farm and many such narratives.
In the end. I Also Slept with Rashmi Verma is a book that attempts to humour and entertain the reader in just over 100 pages but, in the end, I can’t ignore the fact that it is written in bad taste.
It not just portrays women in poor light but objectifies them blatantly leaving a sour after taste.
