A novel about sort-of second chances, friendship, love, and settling somewhere in between
Devin: It was a chance meeting that never turned into anything more. I had a shot with her but put my business first. I always chose business. All was forgotten and I never thought twice about the date that never occurred, until the day she appeared in my office. Now she’s standing in my boardroom as my newest publicist and I want a second chance. Turns out, she’ll let me back in her life, but only as a friend. Now, I get to work with her as she dates half of Manhattan. The thing is, though, I’m Devin James and I get everything I want... or at least I used to.

This contemporary romance is about love and second chances. It centers around Bali, upcoming marketing & PR specialist and expert user of the "friend zone" and Devin, real estate mogul and playboy. A chance meeting due to a coffee spill at a coffee shop leads to unexpected soul-stirring love.
I'll admit when the story began, I thought great another book about a frazzled girl with big dreams who moves to the city to "make it" and falls short, but not before falling for a bad boy. (sigh)
Well that all changed the moment I got to Chapter two. I could tell this was not the same story. In Kai Rae's debut novel, she provided a re-imagining of this romance. Bali was confident, driven and new her worth. She made a choice early on to not give in to love and allow herself to be heartbroken. Rather than tell you what happens, I encourage you to purchase your own copy to fall in love with this couple. It had me wanting my own Devin James. He begged so deliciously. (sigh) This new indie talent did a great job of making the characters real by placing them in believable situations and taking the time to develop them fully as well as their story. She managed to pull you in with descriptive scenes of locales and giving you relatable characters. It was an easy romance that was not laden down with sexual scenes. But, it managed to keep the chemistry between the two front and center.
Ms. Rae's debut novel was well written, developed and entertaining. Kudos to her.

Welcome to the world of Kaia Rae!! This book will have you turning pages so fast, you won’t put it down until you’re finished. These words, these characters - HELLO HOTNESS!! I loved this authors debut novel and can’t wait to see what you have in store for the future!! She creates characters that are real and speak to you through her words. The world she creates is exciting and frustrating all at the same time. This author has potential in the future based off of this debut novel!!
The characters “hit” it off right off the bat (lol - pun intended). You might yell, cry, and want to punch Devin, but it all works out how it’s supposed to. It’s one complicated, frustratingly beautiful rollercoaster of a ride you won’t want to get off of!! Go - BUY THIS BOOK - LIKE NOW!!

Angsty. Swoony. One of my favorite debut books ever. 💗💗💗
This book had me angry, sad, elated. I’m short, it gave me all the feels in the best possible way. Love this contemporary romance from this debut author.

This is the debut novel by Kaia Rae called Mine for Never.
I was asked to read for an honest review and let me tell you, this baby is a page turner!!
I absolutely loved it. I didn’t want to put it down (imagine that bahaha). But it’s the truth, it got me hooked from the beginning and I just love books that grab me from the start.
Bali, (I mean how cool is that name!) is a sweet but sassy lady trying to make it in the big city she has loved. Yes she has a great job but a not so great boss but it isn’t her dream job. All she wants to do is write a novel but can’t seem to find anything to write about.
Then enters Devin James, or should I say she runs into him. Mister hot shot, billionaire playboy she bumps into and spills her tea all over. Now I had a like, hate, love and HATE but then love relationship with this hero, lol. Don’t let that fool you he is a hero you will love reading about but love to yell at as well haha.
Overall Mine for Never is a 5️⃣🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 book that you must read!
I will definitely keep reading Kaia Rae books from now on!
