Dr. Les Lumsdon worked in public transport before becoming a lecturer in tourism. He is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Central Lancashire and lives in the Welsh Marches.
He was previously a Senior Lecturer at the Business School at Staffordshire University and a researcher at the Centre for Alternative and Sustainable Transport. He is a specialist in tourism marketing and economic impact of recreational walking and cycling routes. He is currently researching walking as an economic generator.
