“The only formula for worldwide success, is the one that has to do with selling your soul.” ~Unknown~

The Frazier brothers were born into a fraternal secret society. It was a brotherhood that both their father, and grandfather, belonged to. For years, they subscribed to the teachings handed down. However, as they got older, the brothers realized that they didn’t share the same beliefs. For that reason, they walked away from everything they had been taught, forming their own pact. Their pact, and what motivates their movement, has always been the same: to Reclaim . . . the mind, the soul . . . Their game plan is to start where they feel the influence is strongest—the entertainment industry. Together, they come up with a strategy. A formula that they think will work . . . Her name is Eve Evangeline Adams.

Single mother, Eve Adams, has just committed the ultimate sin. With the deed done, she takes her one-year-old son, Jaxson, to Atlanta to be with her mother while she gets on her feet. She wants to give her son the best life possible, and the one they have now, just isn’t it. So, her plan is to hit the pavement hard, and rebuild, so that she can bring her baby back home. But her plans may be delayed, because the Frazier brothers need her to sign on for their mission.

As bad as she wants to decline the ‘offer’, Eve is soon made aware that she has no choice but to go along with whatever it is they have planned. The brothers have something on her. Something that could send her to prison for the rest of her life, taking her from the very person that drove her actions.

Now, she’s in . . .

But she didn’t plan to fall in “like”, along the way. To her, rapper Q James, was a good time. They met at a barbeque spot, by sheer happenstance. With Jaxson away for a short period, Eve sees nothing wrong with having a little fun to pass the time. But in the world that Eve now belongs to, Q is considered forbidden territory. And while a warning is issued, by someone close to her, Eve ignores it. She doesn’t see any danger, and she’s not in it for love, so why not? But there’s much more at stake than Eve knows, and by the time she realizes she should have heeded their warnings, Eve soon finds herself in danger.

But she’s not the only one . . .

There is always going to be the balance of good and evil. Evil is more prominent, being that it has more power, more resources . . . is calculated. That’s not it, either. The biggest of evil’s advantages, is that it has more people assigned to fear. Good has always acted behind the scenes, treading quietly, strategically, under the radar. Good has to be more calculated in their actions, and veer away from acting on impulse. If not, anything they’re planning could fall apart before it makes any kind of impact. 4Mula shows alliances formed on either side of these two forces, and travels many roads before revealing who comes out on the winning end.

Or if either one does . . .

I had up my previous bio for years! It was nice and all, and gave details of my life. But it was so structured! And I’m kinda not. Because of that, I’ve decided to change it to something that really gives you a glimpse into who I am. Is that cool? K, good. So, here goes:

I’m a Bay Area girl. Cali is in my blood! I moved to Vegas in 2017 (No, I wasn’t following the Raiders!) to see how another way of life would be, after my only kid . . . the love of my life . . . decided he was joining the Marines. Can you believe that?! Sigh. Wait, deep sigh! I know some parents await the day for their kids to leave, not this Mama. That was my ace, my bestie in male form. I had to hit the reset button. But here I am. He’s thriving. I’m ‘trying’ to thrive. Lol! No, but really. This relocation was good because I’ve never lived away from home. So, I needed to grow, cultivate a little. It’s working for now.

I consider myself a novelist. And that’s because a novelist doesn’t just write in one genre. For the most part, I write #InterracialRomance, with a primary focus on #BWWM, as my leads. However, I have written a few novels that fell comfortably in the #AfricanAmericanFiction realm, showcasing some #BlackLove. In short, I love building stories. I like to say that I “spin #Sexy and #Suspense into a single web.” The two dynamics have to co-exist in my stories, or I’m bored. And you know if the author is bored with their own work, there’s a problem! Trust me, I’ve done plenty of rewrites when that’s happened.

On my literary journey, I just hope to always write the stories that women find relatable. Characters who are strong, but vulnerable when they need to be. Family-focused, and intelligent. Basically, mirror images of myself. Ironically, writing these characters, have helped me discover things about myself along the way. I think that’s why I write as often as I do. It’s almost like peeling back layers of me as I go. And to stop that process, kind of hits the pause button on me . . . my life . . . my existence. I have to be a moving machine at all times. Does that get stressful? Absolutely. But is it rewarding and are there many teachable moments? Absolutely!

Ever need me, reach out. Ever got questions, I’m never too busy to respond.

Peace & Blessings!
Perri

Simply an amazing read! I found myself both fascinated and a tad scared as I read this book. Ms. Forrest is daring to do what no one has done before, which is delve into the dark underbelly of what really goes on in the music industry. She bravely sheds light on the secret society of the Illuminati by introducing us to a litany of characters, some on a crusade to continue the darkness and dirty deals, and some on a crusade to save the Black community. This novel will scare the daylights out of you with all the truths revealed. At the same time it will make you pay more attention to those you once thought to idolize. Each character introduced in the story plays a vital part to the mission at hand. The author has done a tremendous job with creating original raps and creative dialogue that will appeal to anyone. And with the way this story ended, I need a part two because I definitely need to know what happens to a certain character. This novel was one of a kind, and truly suspenseful and everyone needs to read this book. 5 Star Read.

This was my first book by this author and after reading the synopsis I wanted to read it. The story was about four brothers that were part of an unknown society that they wanted to correct and they needed help. This is where Eve comes in. Eve was approached by one of the brothers to help them with their plan, but she didnt want to until he informed her that he knew what she did and if she ever wanted to see her son again she would help. Eve was awarded hefty for her involvement, but she didnt expect to fall for a guy that she was warned to say away from.
This story started out very slow by introducing all the players involved and started to pick up. I felt the book was very long and had a lot of information to absorb. In the last few chapters of the book, is when it all tied together for me. I see that it said to be continued. I will have to read part two to see how it ends. I did enjoy the story, I was just looking for more of what the plan was from the beginning.

Wow!!!

I have to be honest, I wasn’t going to read this story. I love this author and I’ve read almost all her books, but this one I was like uhhhh, I don’t think so. I’m not into the whole Illuminati stuff, I don’t engage in the theories surrounding the subject or none of that, so yea, I was like, no. I changed my mind though, and I was so happy that I did. This story had me thinking. It wasn’t to push an agenda on the reader, it wasn’t to make you feel dumb for not being “woke”. To me, it said, think about this, and what about that, or how about this? It gave me a nice balance of hmmmm, along with a great storyline with some fine men added in Lol. I really enjoyed the story and I’m anxious to see what happens next, like I have questions that need answers ASAP!!!!

"The 4Mula" by Perri Forrest

My Rationalization:

Very interesting in how this author was able to give the reader quite a suspenseful storyline of how the music industry and its artists can become so corrupted. I found myself being caught up in all of the twists and turns along with some very interesting and unique characters. This is a rather long read so you will have to keep up because there will be a lot going on. The ending left me hanging and definitely wanting to know more about certain characters so I hope the rest of this story will be coming out soon.

Damn

This book is amazing!!! It had me at the edge of my seat!! It's crazy that all that could be going on I real life. I was so proud and scared for Eve. Art the end in glad that everything worked out for her and she got her son back. I was secretly rooting for Eve and Wolf to get together. I hope that Quincy comes back with his head right and he gets out of the industry like he wanted to. Great read!!!!

Very Interesting

I couldn't put this book down. I think the start was too slow. It introduced too many characters upfront though. I wish they would've been better developed initially. There was so much to know I googled the details for background info. But I don't care for the cliffhanger ending. By the end, I was too invested. Leave it to Perri Forrest to drop some knowledge while entertaining!

Different

This was a pretty good book. It was different but I enjoyed the suspense and storyline. It took awhile to figure out how everyone connected. Looking forward to see what happens.

This is full of the unexpected.

All of the twists and turns of this book has me pausing, rereading, questioning who, what, when, and WHY...HOW.... This was a unique read.
