Ocean Ray is a country girl at heart but has no choice but to embrace the city life after losing her father. Moving to New York to live with her auntie was her mother’s best option for herself and her children until her mother passed away from cancer.
Now that Ocean has learned the city, she is making new friends. Not being used to befriending people outside of her race, she will soon learn that a person’s color doesn’t determine their values.
Even after several traumatizing experiences, Ocean finds herself falling for the one person who will never understand her struggle in life but will still always find a way to be there for her. Nick Rizzo is a New York native Italian with a heart of gold. He’s struggling with his own problems, one being he never imagined-falling for a woman of Ocean’s size or color. Will Ocean be the woman of Nick's dreams, or will he let her color and size get in the way?
When things get shaken up, these two will have no choice but to be there for one another in the end. With them both coming from two different backgrounds, they will see just how much they have incoming and that they’re not so different after all.
Battling Mental health and Logic, Ocean tries her best to stay afloat. Will logic and reason turn the growing relationship into dust, or will it bring these two closer together?
Can true love really be ignored, even when the barriers of color, financial status, and family try to stand in the way? If true love conquers all, shouldn’t Nick and Ocean be together?
Love that this book picks up where the first part left off. Nick know that he has no business being in Bed-stuy do or die, he should of meet big Mike somewhere they both would had felt comfortable. I feel like Bella and Nick's father planned to have Bella make a pass at Nick when Nick took her home because she drink to much.Nick was smooth on how he got Ocean to go out with him for ice cream so they could get to know each other better. Ocean learn that you can't judge people by the color of their skin and she could love someone who was not black.
I read some unfavorable reviews but I wanted to make my own decisions. Yea they were correct. The author came across as a middle school child writing and the continued description of Nick as white Italian had me scratching my head. Spell Che k and a really good editing was needed. It wish you good luck in the future. I will read more from this author to see if she improves.
I have been waiting patiently for part 2. And Uniquely Lashay delivered!! I love Ocean's character and so happy she didn't miss out on finding love. Check it out it's another Great read by a very talented author.
Lashay you never disappoint. I loved Nick. He was a stand up guy. I love the way he cared for Ocean. She went through so much and I'm glad she found love. I wasnt ready for it to end. Love has no color.
I loved this story line. Love has no color. Ocean bring out the best in Nick. She is his true ride it die. I must admit he was scared out of his mind when he had to meet up with Big Mike 😂😂😂 loved it from beginning to end.
