Knight's Honor: The Unicorn Knight Trilogy Book Two

Rate this book
War looms as Arianna begins her second year as a Unicorn Knight trainee. As she and her allies prepare for battle, they learn more about the mysterious threat from the north that they will soon face. Few know Arianna’s that she and the unicorn mare Serissa are not Bonded with each other. Arianna’s own magic allows her to sense and speak with other magical creatures, and the two have partnered together to learn more about her powers. The threat in the north is magical in nature – and eerily similar to Arianna’s own abilities. She will have to put all of her power, both magical and physical, to the test if she is to survive to become a full knight.

Across the many drafts I've written of this story, the second book has always been my favorite. The first book needed to introduce the world and its many "rules," and while that is often fun and exciting, it's also complicated. The third book is all about the (hopefully epic) conclusion, and it's always been the one that challenges me the most.

Here, however, the story progresses naturally to me. In fact, in terms of broad story strokes, the plot to this one has stayed the most consistent since the very first draft. The characters and their relationships to one another deepen, and the stakes are higher.

I can't wait to hear what you think of the next part of Arianna's journey. Thanks for reading!
