Eros and the Magician

Rate this book
In this lush and dreamy erotic love story we follow the girl and the Magician as they journey towards union. The story is told in verse, poems that express the jumble of feelings that lies within the highs and lows of falling in love.

The girl with her tempestuous moods is full of taboos while the Magician is alluring and mysterious. We watch as the trust between them waxes and wanes. The girl goes from no to yes to consent to seduction while the Magician stays steady. He is the home she longs for.

In our hearts we yearn for this alchemy and the desire to make this pleasure last.

The story echoes ancient myths with its symbolism and beautiful landscapes. It conjures the discovery and mystery that lies at the heart of our greatest desires and love affairs.

Eros and the Magician is a erotic fairytale about a girl in love with a magician. What makes this distinct from other erotic fairytale is that it is written in verse much like an epic. This is the first book which gives us a glimpse of the girl's love for the magician. As the story within the verses unfolds we see the heroine of the novel slowly but gradually surrendering herself to the magician who becomes her home. Isabelle Moss aptly pictured the sensuality in the verse which was definitely not an easy task. But she has done it with her dexterity which makes it a beautiful read. The cherry on the top was the dancing sequence of the girl and the magician. Her descriptions are very pithy for which it never becomes boring. One who likes to erotic stories will definitely enjoy reading a erotic fairytale in a different format and perhaps will make them wait for the second book.

Magical!

I don’t normally read verse but I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderfully erotic vision of the intricacies of love and desire. The writing is superb and vividly portrays each scene.

I have to say this was the first time I have read an erotic story told in verse. This lyrical ebb and flow of seduction and submission was interesting format choice. In the respect that a full erotic story is not typically done this way. The dance between the girl and the magician comes with betrayal, lessons, lust, and need. The author tales their story with vivid imagery, plush landscapes with a whimsical, intensely erotic brush.

These poems whole-heartedly and unapologetically explore pleasure in a raw and bold way. Isabelle Moss paints a vivid picture of intimacy and passion while maintaining a fairytale feel throughout the whole story. Her book is an invitation for all of us to open ourselves up to more pleasure and be moved by the magic that is true love.
